Tap at Het Oude Schooltje, Oostvleteren - 23/03/13 labelled as "Bretty Pale". Clear dark amber in appearance. Nose carries soured peach, orange, woody notes, touch funk, hint of caramel, tarte fruits. Taste comprises soured fruits, sugars, bretty tones, funky and farmy, light sugars. Medium bodied with soft carbonation, dry in the finish. A very well rounded sour.

Tap at Struise beershop in Bruges. It pours a clear golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is on the sweet side with the strong presence of bretts. Ripened apricots and vanilla, citrus and horseblanket. Taste is similarly sweet-ish but dry at the same time from the yeast and spiciness. I loved the Rosse and I love brett, this is a winner to me.

Draft @ ‘t Schooltje, merci Carlo.

23/IX/2012 - on tap as "Struise Rosse + Brett" @ Struise Shop (Brugge) - BB: n/a (2012-1069)

Clear amber beer, big creamy yellowish head, stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very fruity at first, peaches, apricots, some bubble gum, candy-like sweetness, little dusty, lemony, bit earthy, vinous. MF: soft carbon, light to medium body. Taste: little bitter, green banana, slightly fruity, floral notes, yeasty character, bit sourish lemony. Aftertaste: pretty bitter, yeasty, orange peel, dusty, bit earthy, some grapefruit.
