Geschmack leicht hefig, fruchtig malzig, Gewürze, blumig.

Bottle, 2011 vintage. Red with sediment in bottle. Red berry, slight sweet malty nose with some belgian yeasty flavours. Medium light body that feels a lot lighter ABV- wise than what the label informs me. Some vanilla, some almost raisiny or cola-like malts. And yes, red berries. Ok beer. Has that belgian vibe that makes it interesting even though it really doesn’t deserve to be. An amber ale. By struise. Fine, but I guess I was expecting more.

Flaska från 2007. En del mögel på etiketten. Viss vit fällning under korken.

Bottle in Urban Tap House, Cardiff. Pours dark amber with a finger of off-white head. The nose is red fruit, biscuit, toasted malts, caramel, toffee. I really don’t get much nuttiness at all for some reason. The flavour in the mouth is quite tart red fruit on top of toasted and caramel malt notes, yeast spice, perhaps now some of the roasted nuts, chocolate later. It’s quite sour, light sweetness and medium bitter finish. Quite a light body. All in all an unusual brew for me.
