Hazy copper pour with a beautiful three finger white head. The aroma is bursting with spicy citrus and yeasty dough. Lots of orange, banana, clove, angelfood cake dough, bread, and herbal yumminess. The flavor is a well balanced concoction of yeasty bread dough with huge clove and allspice character as well as a prevailing citrus that simply wont quit. The palate is rich and thick for the style with caressing effervescence and a clean crisp finish. A delicious take on the style.

33 cl bottle from Bieropholie, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass. GUSHED.

App.: Hazy deep copper with a decent tan foam. Aroma: Lots of berries, mixed between strawberry, raspberry and blueberry, minerals, a little toasted malt, a bit of alcohol (surprisingly), a touch woodsy and vegetal. Palate: Medium-ish body, sparse and weak effervescence. Flav.: Watery compared to the nose, the berry fruitiness is dialled back a lot, there is a touch more maltiness, minerals, a touch woody and leafy, a wee hint of alcohol; dry with minimal bitterness and a somewhat watery mineral finish.

A weak offering from a usually strong brewer.

Quite complex aroma has a hint of wildness. Perhaps it’s the power of suggestion, but this reminds me a bit of an ostrich farm - in a good way. Flavor is fairly light and elegant with very subtle caramel and Marcona almond notes.

aroma is fruit, flowers, caramel, and some yeast. it’s clear orange with a yellowish head. flavors are fruitier--peach and berries--a bit too subtle though. it’s smooth and fine, maybe a bit flat. overall it’s well balanced and very drinkable, but i was expecting something more interesting.
