| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 20, 2007 33 cL bottle. Pours unfiltered/muddy brown with crispy wite head leaving a nice lacing. Aroma is yeasty, sweet caramel malt and berry fruity into a slight sour note. Classical belgian carbonation. Flavour is sweet caramel malt, berry sweet/sourness from the yeast and a slight bitterness into the finish from the hops. Otherwise is the finish more sweet than dry. Very pleasant, reminds me a lot about westvletern 6. CapedBrewsader (260), Brasschaat, Belgium
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 8, 2007 Pours a ruddy ice tea color with slight orange (maybe even pinkish) highlight. Quickly faiding off white head made of large bubbles. Smell of spicy yeast and basement overpowers the caramel malt and cidery apple aroma. Almost smells of something faintly wild. Taste of caramel, yeast (my bottle may have been aggitated), cinnamon, cardomon, rose-hip, and some apple and summer fruits hiding in the back. A large floral component to the flavor. Rolls off the tongue quite nicely with a short but concentrated prick. I am a fan of De Struise Brouwers but was a little dissapointed in this beer. Perhaps my expectations were too high. I do however think this would be a good beer to serve friends wanting to learn more about beer. Interesting but not as intriguing as other De Struise beers. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 26, 2007 Updated: Jun 28, 2009Muddy amber brown with a lasting off-white head. It may have been shaken a little and thus more muddy than it’s supposed to be. Aroma of malt and some fruit or berry (blackberries?), leather, and spice. Malt dominates the flavour which is rather sweet, but finishing dry, and has all the aroma elements even stronger. Did I sense a hint of wild yeast? gunnfryd (3573), Kristiansand, Norway

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 27, 2007 Bottle. This, the third Struise beer this evening stayed in the bottle for as long as we needed it to. Unclear, brown color with a beige head. Malt, caramel and berries in the aroma. Quite malty flavor with a vague sournessm berries and some faint notes of cigar-smoke. Full body and a long sweet finish with caramel and some berries. Quite nice. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 18, 2007 33 cl bottle, courtesy of gunnfryd, who supplied it to our tasting. The ABV was 5.0%. Served at room temperature, which was too warm, and caused the beer to gush out of the bottle when opening. Reddish brown colour, decent head. Very nice aroma: oak, spices, leather, malts, fortified wine. Moderately spicy and malty flavour. Not bad!.
