33 cl bottle - bottled September 2008. Pours a deep amber colour with a thin light beige head. Nose of caramel, yeast/bread. Some floral and citrus notes as well. Light bodied, light bitterness. Yeast is coming back in the taste. The taste is lighter than smell & colour might suggest.

A: The pour is a hazy light amber color with a tall white head.
S: Sort of a funky aroma, is it supposed to be that way? A little lemon and lemon zest tartness to it. Some yeast and tropical fruits and peaches.
T: The flavor is similar. There are quite a few yeast flavors and a bit of spice. A definite fruitiness, almost like pineapple and peach. There is a bit of tartness and perhaps some Juicy Fruit flavors.
M: Light in body with a medium carbonation.
O: Pretty sure it’s not supposed to be funky/sour, but it worked out well.

2007 bottle. A copper/dark orange body with particles and a diminishing white head. Sweet malty flavour with strawberry and a slightly musty tone. Flavour is bittersweet with some caramel and some sourness.

Struiselta olen aiemmin maistanut muutamia todella vakuuttavia oluita. Nyt testiin lähtee Struise Rosse. Olut kaatuu lasiini ruskeana ja melko niuakkavaahtoisena. Sameaa tavaraa. Tuoksu on karamellisen maltainen ja marjaisen hedelmäinen. Maku on puinen ja edelleen hieman marjaisen hedelmäinen. Melko kuiva ja kevyt. Ei Struisen parhaimpia, mutta silti hyvä olut.

Bottle courtesy of cgarvieuk. Gushed out of the bottle, hazy orange/brown pour with a big white head. Rounded yeasty nose, some musty caramel too. Slightly fruity palate, yeast too. Musty, something walnutty, pretty complex. Long long dry finish.

Cloudy amber colour. Pale ale-ish with a bit of fruitiness. Aroma is maybe strawberry. Not amazing but nice enough.
