3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 GothGargoyle (188) - Vancouver, CANADA - JUL 31, 2011
Cloudy rust colour with little head. Aroma is of strawberries, cranberries, brown sugar and straw. Light mouthfeel, this beer has less character than the aroma leads you to believe. Taste is somewhat bitter, caramel and cardboard.

Bottle (2008) at home in London with Lyoli. Pours a hazy, rich orange-gold with a creamy, big white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, candi, some caramel, golden raisins and some tart fruit. Sweet and fruity flavor, some caramel, slightly sour malts. Medium in body with average to lively carbonation. Somewhat bitter finish, some grass, bit more caramel and tartish fruits. Not bad.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 weaselkenievil (1089) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - JUL 12, 2011
Bottle at home thanks to MesandSim. Exploded everywhere but calmed to a reddish copper with a thin to medium white head. I just love Struise beers. They all seem to have a complexity and depth of flavour that really floats my boat. Toffee, fruit, raisin, marzipan, lemons, herbs, Belgian yeast. I could drink a lot of this. Really do like this.
