2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 suprchunk (802) - Heinsberg, GERMANY - APR 29, 2011
A chunky buttery amber hue. Big two finger white creamy head. Plenty of lacing. Faint peppery aroma with malt. Big alcohol bite that drowns out any other flavor that could be there. Nice body, minus the alcohol that seems higher than it is. Bitter aftertaste.

20 April 2011, bottle. slightly brown orange, faintly hazy. actually, lots of very fine sediment floating in it. really soft nose. strawberry smoothy and some tart cherries. thin body, mildly fizzy and a dry, champaign element. interesting flavour. slightly tart cherry w/ a very earthy/stemmy dry matiness and some dry yeastiness as well. interesting.
3.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 chimplechamp (579) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 13, 2011
drank this beer from a bottle in a park with no glassware. tisk tisk, nose is belgium. yup, belgium in a bottle. oak, slight vinegar, strawberry jam, cramels, heavenly belgian waffles, taste is not as intense as the nose leads you to believe, some oranges, berries, light and satisfying with an oaky finish. a good tipple to finish the vacation on.

The beer pours a clrearish dark gold with a hint of orange. The head is light tan, rises a finger and is gone quickly. Light lacing.
The aroma is light and pretty sweet, but gives off just the lightest hint of vinegar.
The taste is decent, starts of with lots of flavor. Its a little bitter, a hint of vinegar, like a oude brown, and little bit of floralness.

I’m surprised, I thought that this would be rated higher. Dark brown with a small head. Lovely complex flavour, with toasted notes, caramel, spice, quite sweet but well balanced with a dense background bitterness. Nice chewy texture.
