3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
33cl bottle. Pours a dark ruby brown color with a medium beige head. Aroma is complex and vinous: dark fruits, toasted notes, molasses, caramel notes. alcohol. Taste is similar, very sweet and with a big alcoholic warmth. Again dark fruits and caramel candy flavors. Very carbonated beer and good bodied. Overall, complex and intersting but way too overwhelmnig, it tasted like a red wine more than a beer.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: SEP 11, 2011 Details: 33cl bottle, vintage 2010, about almost 1,5 years old.
Tasting notes: Dark brown/black color with a darkred shine when hold against the light, two finger thight beige bubble head. The aroma is appetizing and sweet, hints of candy sugar, ripe fruits, burned caramel, vanilla. The flavor starts with sweet caramel, fruits, slight vanilla, a dry subtle hop finish and a slight alcohol note. Very soft and sticky palate, full body. Both the aroma and flavor have something special that distincts them from previous Quadrupels I have had.
Conclusion: A soft, smooth yet quite complex Quadrupel.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled 330ml. -trade with kappldav123 (thanks David!)
Brown coloured, small beige head, fruity (green apples) alcoholic nose with touch of glue. The taste is almost the same, green apples alcohol and that unpleasant glue presence. Also some notes of dark fruits. Touch of licorice in the finish. I don’t know what but something is wrong here.
