3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours hazy orange amber with a four finger creamy/foamy off-white head. Aroma of evergreen over warm malt. Flavor is fairly resin with quite a bit of light fruit; evens some floral. There’s a lot going on here.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from City Beer. Pours murky copper with a massive beige head and a marvelous piney aroma. There is a delicious caramel malt flavor with lots of citrus and pine, although still fairly balanced.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
I think this is a great IPA and I dont understand the low rating but oh well. One of the best European IPAs out there. Aroma and taste are orange citrus with grassy herbal qualities. Very crisp and fresh. Awesome.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: NOV 29, 2012 My favorite foreign IPA. Good citrus nose, very slight belgian yeast contribution. Tons of citrus hops in the flavor, very slight bitter in finish. Love it.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle poured a hazy amber with a large lasting amber head. Aromas of cracker, pear, lemon zest and light orange. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a smooth finish. Flavors of crackers, light orange and light lemon zest with a smooth lightly bitter citrus finish. Not an IPA in any stretch.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at The Palm Tavern. The one of two Struisse IPAs I tried that worked for me. Decent bitterness. Totally neutral smell. Black body with some head. Carbonation right there. Good drinkability

UPDATED: SEP 3, 2011 Tap. Rich gold pour with a big white head. Smells like citrus hops and bread. Smooth, slightly carbonated palate. Taste is Belgian yeast and citrus hops. Damn....this is really good.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draught at TND: Aroma of hops, malt, slight caramel, slight citrus, and slight rye. Poured amber in color with a medium-sized, loose, rocky, off-white/tan head that diminished greatly. Slightly hazy. Sparkling. Flavor is light to medium sweet and medium to heavily bitter. Tastes of malt, hops, rye, light caramel, light resin, and slight citrus. Medium body. Dry texture. Average carbonation. Malt, hop, light caramel, light rye, slight resin finish is dry. 7%ABV is completely hidden throughout.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle @ home. Cloudy orangish-brown appearance with a huge, lively, light brown head. Earthy, piney/sprucey, organic hoppy nose. Piney, sprucey, organic hoppy, sort of weird wheat/barley/rye malty flavor. Mild earthy, somewhat piney hoppiness. Pretty decent beer but nothing special.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Deep orange/amber hue. Big, creamy, fluffy off-white head. Slow to die and leaves a trail of blood...err, lacing behind. Slight citrusy aroma. A bit of a hoppy smell, and slight, slight malt aroma. Nicely balanced flavor of malt and hops, with a slight astringency. Not very bitter, but there is some in the back. Not too bad of an IPA.
