11.2 oz. bottle. This has a gushing being head that too slowly dissipates. There is some suspended yeast and solids floating around in this dark brown beer. The nose is yeast, malt, and floral hops. The flavor is the same but the hops are more complex. Fruit and bitterness are considerably more tasted than smelled and rye is noted. The finish is sulfur and yeast. This was interesting and not bad at all. It is what I would expect out of a Belgian IPA.

The aroma is a bit strange, but enjoyable, it is very berry and tangy and hops aromatic. Even the taste is a bit strange and in it there is a lot of flavors but the ones I think emerges most is yeast, berries and hops, and in the aftertaste the alkohol. A nice and somewhat different beer!

Hermod (3563) - Vantaa, FINLAND - NOV 7, 2011
33cl bottle, BBE 05/2014. Poured mahogany with a foamy, huge beige head. Aroma is very hoppy, grapefruits and floral notes. Flavor is bitter at first, very citrus and tropical fruits before some rye notes comes along as well as a little sweetness. Smooth, oily mouthfeel. Wow, great blend of bitterness and sweetness. Have to try this again.

Some Belgian spice in an otherwise thick yet indeterminate aroma. Strange. Some light tinny hops at the end with a fairly thick strange body. I canít say Iím a fan. It gets better but just not quite right to me. Maybe the rye?

Thanks Bobby Ray!!! Pour murky brown to grey with a ton of floaties and a huge beige head good lace. Aroma citrus, tropical fruits, yeasty/spicy, bready, earthy, caramel. Taste grassy, earthy, bitter, slight funk ,citrus fruits, caramel, bread. MF medium body fizzy carb. Overall interesting take on a IPA drinkable not outstanding a little out there but doesnít all work well together.

Pours a hazy dark golden amber color thatís completely opaque with a two finger frothy head that very slowly fades into a lasting cap. Large chunks of soapy lacing left behind. Earthy, slightly funky aroma with a strong soil/dirt characteristic along with some pine and estery fruit notes. The hop profile in the nose is one dimensional unfortunately. In addition, thereís some dark fruit, faint malt and an odd medicinal presence. Medium bodied with an extremely earthy hop presence thatís very bitter and dry. The soil/dirt presence from the nose again dominates the flavor. Not much sweetness or much else balancing things out. Slightly medicinal with subtle malt sweetness with some rye and caramel but overall this is a very one-dimensional beer that Iím not really enjoying.
