Bottle. Aroma has notes of flowers and citrus hops, caramel malts, a little rye spiciness and something else (almost cherry cough syrup but very very faint). Medium amber hue with an average white head that mostly diminished and left some lace. Flavor is heavy bitter and medium sweet. Palate is medium/full bodied and watery average carbonation. Overall a solid IPA with a nice twist on the style. Enjoyed it.

33cl bottle pours up murky amber with copper hues and tall tan head. The modest aroma offers up some citrus and spicy hops as well as faint malt like notes in the background. The taste is a mix of spicy hops, mineral notes, earthy hops and then sort of a floral and spicy hop bitterness that gets a touch soapy from time to time. The level of hops is about right for the style but they lean heavily toward noble hop like bitterness with scant hop flavor to be found.

Pours deep amber into a snifter. Off-white head with good retention recedes to skim surface. Caramel, oat and resin aromas. Medium bodied with sweet caramel and tangerine upfront turning to resin in the lasting dry finish.

bottle, beersof europe. A fair amount of sediment in the pour, leading to a hazy red-amber appearance. Yeasty flavour, but not too strong. Good carbonation, hints of dry cherry in the backgorund.

Countbeer (5601) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - NOV 23, 2011
Bottle: Big and very vast slight fluffy head, stays on this beer for almost the entire time. The beer itself has a hazy deep dark amber color. Smell is good hoppy, citrus, pine, bit sharp hoppy and green fresh sharp herbs. Even some light perfume. Taste is milder than the smell, some hops, light citrus, light fruity, sharper and light fresh herby, a light hint of yeast and medium bitter. Nice bitter (good warm hoppy) aftertaste. Low to medium carbo, medium to fuller body, and a light watery texture. A bit weak in body but the bitterness is pretty good.

Colour is hazy orange with white head. Fruity and hoppy. Pretty plain from Struise this time.

11.2 oz. bottle. This has a gushing being head that too slowly dissipates. There is some suspended yeast and solids floating around in this dark brown beer. The nose is yeast, malt, and floral hops. The flavor is the same but the hops are more complex. Fruit and bitterness are considerably more tasted than smelled and rye is noted. The finish is sulfur and yeast. This was interesting and not bad at all. It is what I would expect out of a Belgian IPA.

The aroma is a bit strange, but enjoyable, it is very berry and tangy and hops aromatic. Even the taste is a bit strange and in it there is a lot of flavors but the ones I think emerges most is yeast, berries and hops, and in the aftertaste the alkohol. A nice and somewhat different beer!

33cl bottle, BBE 05/2014. Poured mahogany with a foamy, huge beige head. Aroma is very hoppy, grapefruits and floral notes. Flavor is bitter at first, very citrus and tropical fruits before some rye notes comes along as well as a little sweetness. Smooth, oily mouthfeel. Wow, great blend of bitterness and sweetness. Have to try this again.
