3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A orange brown beer with a big, dense, blond and slightly cloudy head. The nose is enjoyable and fruitfull, intensive, nice sweetness, spices, some strawberries nad hint of green apples. Taste is fruitfull or interestingly almolst a dark fruity, prune, spices and some strenght of alcohol. Hint of dry barrel and herbs in the end. Medium+ bodied, quite high carbonation lightening the drinkability. Quite simple, but balance is just great and so this is the quite enjoyable beer.

Draft @ Ebenezer’s. Dark amber color, tiny head. Nose has candy sugar, caramel and light oak. Flavor has great barrel notes with the tripel underneath . Big oak, yeast, dried fruits and light alcohol warmth after the sip. Traces of bourbon. The body leans on the full side with a oily texture. I would drink this again if I ever see it on draft.

on tap at fermentoren. orange with a faint haze and a thin white film of a head; aroma of marmalade, very very sugary marmalade with a trace of white pepper; flavour totally dominated by sticky sweetness tending towards the sickly and verging on the undrinkable

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
(Draught at Fermentoren, Copenhagen, 13 July 2013) Hazy amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of oak wood, dried fruit, apricots and hints of alcohol. Malty, fruity taste with dried fruit, apricots, orange peel, marmalade, oak wood and a spicy bitterness in the finish. Full body, quite sweet. There’s lots of oak character in the nose, but the other flavours come through quite nicely on the palate. Very nice.

Tap sample @ Haand Festival 2013. Pours a deep orange-amber body with a big off-white creamy head. Great looks. Aroma is smooth caramel, toffee and nuts, syrup and hints of honey and mild grainy notes. Taste is sweet nutty syrup, wooden caramel tones with hints of raisins, port wine, alcohol and toffee. Full body, medium to high carbonation. Nice one.
