Bottle brought back from Belgium by a generous friend. Pours a rich copper, fluffy off white head, minimal lace. Nose is rich dark fruits, raisin, plum, bourbon. Tastes a lttle bitter, sweet, spicy, bourbon. Really awesome.

Tasted as Tsjeeses Reserva and as Tsjeeses Reserva Bourbon Barrel Aged - according to this site, that is apparently the same thing. Luxury version of the already great Tsjeeses with a thinnish but creamy, off-white head and misty orange peach blonde colour. Very complexely perfumed bouquet of cider, peach juice, gingerbread, orange peel, yoghurt, bread, eggs, meat broth, oak tannins, cognac, pineapple; apricot and pineapple in the onset, refreshing, citrus, caramelly and soft honeyish malt sweet backbone, gingerbread-like complex spiciness, yeastiness, soft herbal hop bitterishness in the end with a brandy- and indeed bourbon-like alcohol effect, only adding to complexity without becoming obnoxious. Pimped Tsjeeses indeed and, really, a world class masterpiece.

330ml bottle served in a Duvel Tulip glass. Lot C from 8/2010. A: Pours a deep amber color which is slightly cloudy. Forms a huge yellow creamy head with good retention and many lacings formed and left. A thin layer remains for long time and the lacings are quite molasses S: Absolutely delicious nose. Sweet, spicy and veeery woody. Strong notes of Bourbon. Fruity with notes of grapes. Very malty too. Some flowery hops and alcohol T: Perfect. Slightly sweet upfront. Very fruity with strong notes of grapes, oak, caramel malts, whiskey and spices (black pepper and cinammon). Considerable hops bitterness in the end M: Heavy and molasses body. Medium carbonation. Bittersweet and woody aftertaste O: Excellent beer. Very whiskey and spicy. A beer to be slowly appreciated [ BA Review @ 11/17/2012 ]

Bottle from ’t Drankenhuys, 20-06-2014. Light gusher, yeast comes out of the bottle. Amber red colour, dense head. Aroma has alcohol, some caramel, sweetish. Als tastes sweetish, full, powerful, slight bitterness, full bodied, but a bit to the sweet side.

0.33 bottle. Light brown, hazy color and a medium, brownish head. Weird malty aroma with a hint of alcohol, quite a lot of dark fruits, some cheese, and crackers. Sweet and sour taste, again fruits and crackers. Medium body, thick texture, and soft carbonation. Finish is also rather cheesy. Overall the beer is alright but it could be more balanced especially when it comes to the aroma.

330 ml bottle. Pours a very cloudy coppery brown with a creamy, resilient white head. Aroma is brown sugar, wild fruit, woody, boozey. Flavor is booze, wood, brown sugar, red berries. Finish is a tad bit tart and oldish, metallic, bourbonney. Lingering fruits. Medium to full body, weak carbonation.

Bottle. Clear red-amber with a lasting, foamy off-white head. The aroma is smooth with oak, vanilla, clove, peach syrup, cinnamon. The flavour is smooth malt, sweet fruity syrupy notes (plum, peach), some woody oak and vanilla notes. Spices are faint. Very smooth, with a lovely alcohol punch that suits the feel and body of the beer extremely well.
