330ml bottled July 2014 at 10%. Dark orange, hazy, highly sparkling, small foamy white head. Aroma is plums, raspberry, heather honey, alcohol. Body is medium, foamy, low carbonation. Taste is sweet sugar syrup, danish pastry, a little cherry. A little too sweet for my taste. The bourbon and wood may be lurking somewhere behind the sweetness, but they’re hard to find.

Pours a brown hazy body with a medium lasting head. Rich malty aroma with barrel tones. Complex taste with malty tones of sugars and fruit. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A golden red color (copper) and cloudy with a white foam, consistent and average volume. A sweet aroma of malt, wood, fruit being identified for me the pear, peach, apricots, a pleasant aroma of caramel, and of course the Bourbon. Moderately sweet taste in exact proportion, with delicious hints of malt, fruit, caramel, a beautiful Bourbon, oak and spices, and the hop bitterness is present. Woody end. Creamy texture and a bit oily.   Full-bodied with a low, soft carbonation, making it soft and very easy to drink. Very nice it, but beware of its 10% alcohol content that is very well hidden, so to speak.

2012 vintage. Pours murky orange with a small white head. Aroma is sweet, sugary, fresh, slightly yeasty with slight vanilla. Taste is above but with evident hop bitterness, followed by bourbon and wood at the end. Full bodied with low and soft carbonation, smooth and too easy to drink.

I probably said that for lots of beer, but the first aroma remind me of cheese. Not a big fan of bourbon, so not a fan of the beer even is the taste is not as strong as the one found in bourbon. Aftertaste is mainly the 10% of alcohol. Again, not a bad beer, but definitely not the kind I would recommend ’cause not my type.

2012 bottle. Amber with an off white head. Aroma of oranges, apricots, toffee, bubblegum, vanilla, a little smoke (these 3 are bourbon, right?), spiced bread. Manages to be creamy textured despite almost being stickily sweet. Fruitcake batter, oranges, dark sugars. Layers of caramelised fruit lightened by oranges and spices. Not quite as vibrantly fruity as the normal version but very lovely with the bourbon barrel not trampling on the show. Dangerously cheerful.
