750ml bottle. Thanks to miketd for sharing. Aroma: Oak comes through first with notes of vanilla and toasted nuts. Cinnamon, oranges, bananas, yeast, caramel corn, light floral, and alcohol notes. Appearance: Rusty brown in color and cloudy. Off0white head was full and creamy with good retention. Good lacing. Flavor: Very similar to the aroma. Baker’s spices (cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg), apples and oranges, bananas and caramel, oak and vanilla, chocolate and nuts. Alcohol is present throughout. Finishes dry with just a hint of tartness. Palate: Medium bodied and creamy. Medium-high carbonation. Pleasant alcohol warmth in back of mouth. Overall: Another great beer from Struise. The best Tripel I’ve had in a while. Great flavors and complexity.

Birra memorabile.

330 ml bottle Orange amber color, bright white head. Good strips of lacing and retention to the head. Nose is bubble gum, candied sugar, spices and faint oak. Taste is slightly syrupy. Lots of bubble gum and candied sugar. Some coriander, nutmeg, and spice but a pretty straightforward taste. Just some hints of oak and bourbon. Sweet and sticky. No hint of ABV. Maybe to sticky and sweet for me though.

Pours a hazy caramel topped by a finger of creamt tanned head showing great lacing and retention. The nose is spicy with, cloves, nutmeg, ginger, toffee and a hint of bubblegum. The tastes is sweet toffee, earthy hops, ginger, nutty malts, cloves and nutmeg. The brew is full-bodied and has a medium bitterness that sticks around with the spice. Cheers!

Pours a murky copper/honey colour with a white head. Aroma is sweet and herbal. Taste is pretty similar with a slight sour oaky finish that turns into a sweet bourbon aftertaste. Not really my jam but a rock solid beer nonetheless

Copper colored beer with a small white head, medium carbonation. Tastes fruity, oak, malt, slightly caramel, spices and raisins. Complex flavor but again very tasty.

Bottle in Saint Louis with thanks to Jim. This is a really interesting Belgian beer--I must say I liked the regular better than the reserve. But quite quaffable.

Moc i miazga!

330ml bottled July 2014 at 10%. Dark orange, hazy, highly sparkling, small foamy white head. Aroma is plums, raspberry, heather honey, alcohol. Body is medium, foamy, low carbonation. Taste is sweet sugar syrup, danish pastry, a little cherry. A little too sweet for my taste. The bourbon and wood may be lurking somewhere behind the sweetness, but they’re hard to find.
