My mind was blown the first time I had the normal Tsjeeses a couple years ago and ever since I’ve been wanting to try the reserva. Finally it hits stores on the west coast. This 33cl bottle pours a hazy orange color with a medium white head and high carbonation. Surprisingly smokey aroma with a hint of orange marmalade as well. Sweet juicy fruit sticks out and a little malt as well, but the fruitiness is pretty overriding. Boozy and sweet with a tannic and dry finish. A little yeasty and rough in the finish. I feel like I’m completely missing this one for some reason.

Subtle aroma of hazelnut. In the mouth: hazelnut. Creamy texture. Alcohol is dominant. Not my favorite struise.

Bottle @ home. Hazy deep golden color with a medium thin foamy white head. Aroma of yeast, smoke, oak, whisky and peat. Yeasty, sweet taste of caramel and whisky with some kick from alcohol.

Een mooi belgische bier gedronken in Breda bij zeezicht. Het bier slaat snel dood, maar heeft toch een lekkere sterke kruidige kerst bier smaak, die door de bourbon goed drinkbaar is en lekker zacht is.

Pours golden, white, fluffy head. Weak aroma. Semi-dry. Taste of caramel, chocolate, bread crumb. Quite oaky, especially the after taste. Slightly astringent. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Great syrupy Belgian Christmas ale with great yeasty malty nose, and a sweet finish. Definitely a special occasion beer with an incredible creamy finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
