Clear fox red colour, off-white head. Aroma of caramel, alcohol, wood, malts, raisins and red wine. Sweet flavour, malts, sweet port notes, wood, quite bitter. Finish honey, wood and malts.
Nice beer, good balance between beer and porto flavours.

A slight haze to an otherwise clear amber/red colored pour. Small off-white head. Some minimal lacing. Big boozy aroma. Same booze in the mouth. A slight off-ness in the nose, but otherwise drowned out by the booze. Sweet taste. Boozy in the back as well. An all around boozy beer that doesn’t offer much else. Oh well.

(bottle, 33cl, vintage 2011) Hazy, amber colour with a medium-sized tanned foamy head. Mildly sweet cara-malty aroma with berry-fruity notes, a tinge of spices and alcohol. Moderately sweet flavour, full bodied with a smooth carbonation. Yeasty (cara-)malty, slightly sugary taste with berry-fruity notes, caramel, spicy notes and an obvious touch of alcohol, also ginger spice; mildly sweet (cara-)malty finish with a present alcoholic strength. I missed the Port-character. 18.I.13

When you pour the beer down a lively amber hazy ale with white foamreveals in your glass. Caramel, malt, and light porto aroma on the nose. Medium sweet, kind of salty and nice bitter taste.

GT2 (7884) - Carlsbad, California, USA - JAN 27, 2013
330mL red and yellow label. Hazy blood orange pour. Medium white foam. Okay lace. Nose is tomato, fresh sugary fruits. Taste is spicy, soft, minerally, pie, dense sugary body. Palate is very silky and soft, thick mouthfeel, lots of sugar driven density. Nice dessert beer. Our group liked the Port BA a bit better than the Bourbon BA, though score wise they were so similar to me that I would rate them the same.

Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a lazing yellowish head. The aroma has notes of port, malt, caramel, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and port, leading to a dry finish.
