Bottle shared in swap by ShivanDragon. Many thanks! 2013 vintage. Alcohol hidden very well. High carbonation. Dried fruits, chocolatey spicy, Belgian yeast. Port barrel not imparting as much complexity as I hoped for, but still a great beer.

From cervezasespeciales. In Teku glass. Watching Sons of Anarchy 6x01. The first case in which pass for barrel improves an already great beer, making it more balanced, less alcoholic. It has also a much better aspect than the 2012 non-BA version I took yesterday

Bottle, 33cl. Sparkling orange with a frothy to minimal tan head. Aromas of leather, dried fruits, caramel, alcohol. Medium to robust bodied with moderate to fizzy carbonation. Medium to heavy sweet, medium to high bitterness. Sublime and complex fruity and roasted character into a heavy alcohol finish. Magnificent.

330 ml bottle from The Party Source at home. Pours a hazy orange amber color with a fine off white head. The aroma was sweet, candi sugar, floral, caramel and mild dark fruits. The flavor has caramelized sugar, figs, nutmeg and some other spices, oak, the port barrel adds a different layer of sweetness, light tannins and hints of alcohol. It opens tingly, but the finish is dry. Medium bodied. This is probably my favorite of the three versions I’ve had so far.

33cl bottle from Beera in Sofia. Cloudy reddish amber color with a small beige head after it gushed out of the bottle. The aroma has Belgian yeast, overripe plums and prunes, vinous notes, and a little cidery oxidation. Sweet flavor, port, cider, Belgian yeast. Medium-plus bodied, some boozy heat, not much remnant carbonation after it all flew out upon opening. Had some good things going on, but is a little unrefined overall.
