(bottle, 33cl, vintage 2011) Hazy, amber colour with a medium-sized tanned foamy head. Mildly sweet cara-malty aroma with berry-fruity notes, a tinge of spices and alcohol. Moderately sweet flavour, full bodied with a smooth carbonation. Yeasty (cara-)malty, slightly sugary taste with berry-fruity notes, caramel, spicy notes and an obvious touch of alcohol, also ginger spice; mildly sweet (cara-)malty finish with a present alcoholic strength. I missed the Port-character. 18.I.13

330mL red and yellow label. Hazy blood orange pour. Medium white foam. Okay lace. Nose is tomato, fresh sugary fruits. Taste is spicy, soft, minerally, pie, dense sugary body. Palate is very silky and soft, thick mouthfeel, lots of sugar driven density. Nice dessert beer. Our group liked the Port BA a bit better than the Bourbon BA, though score wise they were so similar to me that I would rate them the same.
