Shared bottle at local tasting. Pours hazy hazelnut colored with a small white head. Aroma is smooth brown sugars, malts and port. Taste is smooth deep malty with a more than pleasant light bitternes, delicious port charachter, a true gem.

In my opinion the best of the Tsjeeses reserva’s. Dark orange colored beer with a fruity complex aroma and flavor. Port flavors noticeable. Malty sweet taste, also alcohol warming. Again a very complex fruity flavor. Hoppy and sweet (port and alcohol) aftertaste.

Hazy amber, beige head. Aroma is barrels, alcohol, some citrus, a hint of vanilla, malt. Taste is licorice, spices, some wood, alcohol. Somewhat disappointing beer. It’s very nice and rather complex, but I’d expected better. Body and carbo are fine.

Shared 330 ml bottle. Cloudy hazelnut with a white film. Candy, rock sugar, spicy, light vinuous notes. Pungent and alco warm. Heavy sweet well balanced against a spicy bitterness. Fantastic together with a stilton cheese.

Shared bottle at local tasting, Cloudy brown colour, large off-white head. Pleasant aroma of Belgian ale yeast, brown kandij sugar, mild spices and port wine barrel. Lovely flavour, even better than the aroma, with the same elements.

(bottle) pours a murky amber-ruby-brown colour with a frothy off-white head. aroma of kiwi, dried fruit, lingonberries, chestnuts, almonds and a hint of apricot. flavour is cherries, strawberries, caramel and herbal hops, light roasted malts, straw and a hint of alcohol in the dry finish. medium to heavy-bodied with lively carbonation.

Bottle. Pours amber with a small yellowish head. Warm spicy aroma. Sweet taste of plum and milk chocolate, bit vinous and spicy.

A clear brown colored beer, with a light beige head. The aroma of fruits with porto, wood and some alcohol. The taste is fruity with alcohol, a little burny with wood and porto notes. The aftertaste is some sweet, burny alcohol.

Bottle at t’Brugs Beertje, Brugge - 01/12/12. Split with Nutty. Hazed mid amber with a good frothy off white head that reatins well. Nose is caramel malts, toffee, light vanilla, touch of wood, raisens, light booze. Taste follows, toffee, malts, wood, booze, sugars. Medium bodied with bite, soft carbonation, bitter boozey finish. Great stuff.

330ml bottle courtesy of ... harrisoni? shared with blankboy, gregclow, jercraigs & mabel. Murky deep orange-amber, smallish frothy white head. Aroma is mostly sweet malt and apple, quite yeasty, not a lot of port or alcohol there. Taste - follows, more alcohol, dry floral bitterness - quite sweet. Thickish, sweet, strong carbonation, finishes quickly ... not a lot of port character, just okay.
