330ml bottle from Bierzwerg (Vintage 2011). I like normal Tsjeeses so lets check this out.. Should take tasting with both bottles because my memory is so bad. Strong toasty aroma. Foam falls quickly and thin layer stays, copper/amber colour. Taste is strong and tasty with no alcohol. Palate is better and more long lasting than normal Tsjeeses. Apparently same score than normal Tsjeeses, PBA got better scores for aroma and worse for appearance.

330 ml bottle. Vintage 2011. L1609270411. BB 26/12/2017.
Dark reddish brown colour with a tiny white head. Strong malt, sweetness, mild sourness and... something very strong and alcoholic... in the aroma. The flavour is alcohol, sweetness, more sweetness, malt and more sweetness... dark fruits... those are sweet.... and some dark bitterness.

Bottle at home in London. Many thanks to Ian for trading me this one (although he did get away with a Heady Topper from me!). Vintage 2011. A bit of a gusher, this one. Thankfully I didn’t lose any but it did start oozing out as soon as the cap was off. It pours cloudy orange-brown with a large, tight frothy cream head that really hangs about. Lights of Belgian yeast in the nose, some caramel, stewed apples, touches of bread and tangy fruits. When you taste the beer, the flavors come at like they were shot from a cannon. The first impact is sweet toffee, followed by alcohol and lots of overripe fruits. Lots of dates, golden raisins, sugary bread, hints of maple. Full bodied with average to lively carbonation and velvety texture. Finishes quite warming with definite alcohol presence, sticky sugars, toasted bread, Belgian yeast, slight bubblegum, melon, faint orange rind, fruit cake, overripe fruits, caramel. Mild dried fruits and bitter citrus rind in the aftertaste. Solid beer. Quite complex, though you definitely know you are drinking a 10% beer.

Brassin 2011. (Rating #5425)

Cloudy rusty golden colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is candi sugar, port, candy cane, marmalade, whipped cream, currants. Sticky mouthfeel, full bodied, sweet on the palate with a long toffee finish. Taste is candi sugar, quince, marmalade, dried fruits, currants, hints of port and wood. Yum!

Shared a 33cl bottle from the producer. Pours a brownish golden colour with a thin off-white head/lacing. Aroma is malt, fruits and caramel. Average to high carbonation and medium body. Taste is medium bitter and medium sweet with some sour notes. Overall, a very good beer.

In Bruges beer shop. David gave me a treat with this one. Rich, with a little smoke and smooth caramel mouthfeel. Warm on a cold day. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very tasty. Had the vintage 2012. Complex flavor with burned malts dark fruit and a nice mildly bitter hop finish. A bit boozy but in a nice way. Prickly soft carbonation. Do not get the port so much but that doesn?t matter. Highly recommend!
