3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
33 cl bottle as ˝Reserva PBA Vintage 2011” @ tiong, BBE 26-12-2017
Aroma has rather strong porto notes, sweet sweet malt and toffee. Flavour is very sweet with toasted sugar, porto, candid sugar, caramel and any other expressions teling about excessive sweetness. Also vanilla and licorice – and alcohol trying to balance the sweetness. But that is not enough.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hazy red colour. Aroma is very yeasty and sweet with some bitter orange peel. A sticky and sweet taste with bread dough and yeast. Port is not particularly prominent but there’s a sticky finish on the lips.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: JAN 2, 2015 33cl bottle served in a Struise glass. Pours a wonderful hazy orange colour with a slightly yellowish head which last throughout the drink with plenty of floating sediment. Aroma is very powerful with sweet fruits, malt and booze. Taste is much more rounded than normal Tsjeeses. The marmalade notes present in the standard Tsjeeses are gone and replaced with a more balanced level of sweetness/bitterness along with a slight barrel presence but unless I was told I probably wouldn’t have noticed it. In any event the barrel aging has not had a pronounced effect on the taste but has subdued the exiting flavours and added yet more complexity to an already complex brew.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, at Kick. An almost clear one, dark glowing amber in color and with a dense finger thick off-white head. The aroma has a little vinous touch, with dried fruits, some caramel and nuts and a hint of alcohol. Fruity flavor, both dried and fresh, with vinous notes and caramel. A little bitterness too. Full body and a soft carbonation, a little warmth too. Sort of dry. Lasting finish. Sure a pleasant one, a sipper. 141206

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
I can taste caramel, prunes and raison. Look: rusty with a long lasting beige header. The port barrels did a good job!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: DEC 13, 2014 33 cl bottle. 2011 vintage.
Lots of caramel on the nose, nothing else, some metallic notes come through also. Very sweet and tacky, nothing special here. sad face.
33 cl bottle @ Gastropub Tuulensuu.
Pours dark amber color with a large head, a bit of a gusher. Distinct Port on the nose, wood, dark malts, ripe fruits and molasses, faint yeast too. Brown sugar, sweet bready malts and some licorice on the flavor, alcohol comes through just right, dry wood and port hints only on the aftertaste. Moderate carbonation, sticky sweet palate. A very nice dessert delicacy.
