Very tasty. Had the vintage 2012. Complex flavor with burned malts dark fruit and a nice mildly bitter hop finish. A bit boozy but in a nice way. Prickly soft carbonation. Do not get the port so much but that doesn?t matter. Highly recommend!

Pours a milk chocolate brown. The aroma is a raisin and plum bomb. An absolute punch in the face with dark Christmas fruits. A fainter smell of rum and port. The flavour has a heavier rim and port presence than the aroma, and loses some of the fruit. All in all, spectacular beer. If I could drink this every day I'd be living a pretty sweet life ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle @ Rose Red, Brugge. Pours hazy dark reddish amber with airy but stable beige head. Clear aroma of malt, caramel and yeast. Sweetish flavour of caramel malt, with notes of fruit and yeast and some bitter, hoppy notes and touches of barrel. Estery and bitterish aftertaste with notes of caramel. Warming alcohol presence. Well-blanced and wee heavy. Decent.

Bottle. Bit hazy, dark amber in colour, thin beige head. Aroma of caramel, dried fruits, booze, wood. In taste sweet, spicy with booze and dried fruits. Medium body, high carbonation, dry and bit boozy finish. Nice one.

2013 330ml bottle pours golden brown with medium off-white foamy head. Hoppy aromas of honey and caramel. Tastes of caramel fudge, figs, honey, cashew nuts, smooth sustained finish with sweet nutty undertones and very mild bitterness. Perfectly balanced beer that is absolutely delicious!

Vintage 2013. Aroma is caramel, spices, wonderful port barrel, dark fruit, booze, cherries maybe, smells great. Appearance is dark rust brown, light tan head, mostly clear. Taste is really really good. Port, spice, wood, dark fruit, booze, caramel, yowza. Mouthfeel is medium body, light crisp carbonation, dry boozy port barrel aftertaste. Overall, I’m a big fan of this.

Bottle from Bruges somewhere. Tawny amber colour. Looks a bit see through. Not sure what Port tastes like, so no comment. Smells richly fruitcakey, with some wine (A-ha!). Slight biscuit in the cake. Finish peters out a bit, but it’s very good.

Hazy color. Malty and sweet. Lovely subtly sweetness, and the port comes through extremely well.

Vintage bottle from 2011 courtesy of kermis. We’re still at the cellar cleanout tasting at deanso’s. Hazy amber with thin white head. Sweet malts, caramel, toffee, fudge, vanilla, white raisans, dades. Over medium sweet, light bitter. Over medium body, soft carbonation. Very nice.

Bottle shared thanks to kermis. Vintage 2011. Hazy dark orange with a thin beige head. Notes of rum, toffee, sweet macerated fruit. Full bodied with a soft carbonation and a sticky sweet finish.
