COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Deep to orange blond abbey triple winterbeer which has been lagered for 8 months on different stonefruits. Tsjeeses was born out of a 5 year brew experience regarding x-mas beer without being capable of finding a suitable name up to now. With the name came a face, a caricature actually, that was drawn on the day Urbain, our brew master and master brewer, drank too many Tsjeeses's. Every time he drinks one, he says "Tsjeeses, what a beer". Therefore the name is more an expression of stupefaction than a curse. We have had already many discussions around the pronounciation of "Tsjeeses". Very close would be that you say "cheeses" or cheese in plural.

330 mL bottle. Pours a lightly hazed orange golden with an off-white head. Aroma is yeasty with sugary caramel, bread, and a bit of ripe fruit. Flavor has some great caramel and toasty white bread elements, grape flavors, peppery spices, and some earthiness and yeast. A little peanut in there, too, which actually reminds me of peanut butter and jelly when combined with the grape. I also picked up a Short’s PB&J today, so maybe I’ll have to make that my next beer. On the whole, Tsjeeses is complex, balanced, and very tasty.

Deep golden pour with a bunch of floaties! Aromas of sweet almost candy fruits. Some of the fruits come through in the flavor as well, but the finish seems to be off. Almost a bitterness to all the sweetness that is going on in there. It may be a bit past its prime, but even so I just don’t see that there are hints of much to bring me back. Glad I got this on sale,

Bottle. Amber, cloudy, small and fully diminishing head. Moderate malty and sweetish fruity aroma, oranges and light spiciness. Body is medium, malt and sweetish flavor, fruity, some acidity and spices, light notes of oranges. Finish is average, malty, alcohol and spiciness dry the aftertaste. Fruity citrus aroma is nice, but flavor is not in the balance with aroma. Nice Xmas brew, not overly spiced.

Tasted from a 11.2 oz bottle purchased in Denver, Colorado. Mildly hazy yellow orange appearance. Sweet fruity (orange and lemon) aroma with the typical Belgian Abbey Tripel smell though a bit more sour. Somewhat sour Belgian Tripel flavor. Fairly strong but the citrus and Belgian flavors make it quite good.

a very good tripel with some christmas spices added that really add to the flavor and dont dominate it or overpower it. perfect color, a deep amber almost red, and the aroma matches the flavor perfectly. very enjoyable, wish it came in a larger size than the 12 oz.

Pours a hazy light brown with a nice white head that doesn’t go down quickly. The beer smells of citrus and spices. This beer has a lot of flavor. Rich spices, malts and sour fruit. This is a pretty strong tasting beer with a bit of yeast in the aftertaste. A bit syrupy in the mouth.

From notes: Pours a dark, cloudy chestnut amber color with golden orange edges and a thin, foamy yellowish/off-white head. Spicy aroma with hints of peppermint, anise an cinnamon as well as some light fruit notes, faint hops, herb and alcohol. Medium bodied with a nice mix of fruit, spice, malt and alcohol warmth. Light and dark fruit notes, especially cherry balance out the silky chocolate malt flavors. Spicy with hints of cinnamon, pepper, peppermint, nut and candy sugar. Alcohol warmth in the finish.

Pours a pretty yellow. Very sweet tasting. Not honey but something else. not much of a sparkly fizz to this. The alcohol is present but light and sort of tickles on the way down.
