Strong blond winterbeer with fluffy white head which has been lagered for 8 months on different stonefruits. Tsjeeses was born out of a 5 year brew experience regarding x-mas beer without being capable of finding a suitable name up to now. With the name came a face, a caricature actually, that was drawn on the day Urbain, our brew master and master brewer, drank too many Tsjeeses’s. Every time he drinks one, he says "Tsjeeses, what a beer". Therefore the name is more an expression of stupefaction than a curse. We have had already many discussions around the pronounciation of "Tsjeeses". Very close would be that you say "cheeses" or cheese in plural.

Bottle from Belgian Beer Factory. Pours hazy amber. Nose is burnt caramel, raisins, butterscotch, fig, sweet. Taste is similar, butterscotch and caramel sweetness, fig, prunes, raisins, light booze. Christmasy but still not the most pleasant for my taste.

33cl bottle at home. Hazy brown with a small white soapy head. Medium to full body with low to moderate carbonation. Quite sweet with nice bitter tones. Raisins, caramel, brown sugar, malts, ripe fruits and herbs. Tasty!

Pours a thin white head which disappears quickly. Colour is brown to orange. Nose is sweet and yeast, in a good belgian way. Taste is malt, sweet, yeast and spices in the aftertaste. Good winter ale.

Lekker fruitig Kerstbier met iets kers. Licht zoet. Ruikt lekker fris. Weinig schuim.

Redelijk uitgesproken. Lekker rondom de feestdagen.

Bottle from Brew cavern. Aroma like barley wine. Pour caramel brown white foam top with some sediment. Taste of candied fruit, dates and resinous. I can taste date and plum in here and maybe peach, all melded into a beer to drink on its own rather than alongside Christmas turkey with all the trimmings. An experiment for the drinker as well as the brewer.
