COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Deep to orange blond abbey triple winterbeer which has been lagered for 8 months on different stonefruits. Tsjeeses was born out of a 5 year brew experience regarding x-mas beer without being capable of finding a suitable name up to now. With the name came a face, a caricature actually, that was drawn on the day Urbain, our brew master and master brewer, drank too many Tsjeeses's. Every time he drinks one, he says "Tsjeeses, what a beer". Therefore the name is more an expression of stupefaction than a curse. We have had already many discussions around the pronounciation of "Tsjeeses". Very close would be that you say "cheeses" or cheese in plural.

33 cL bottle from ABS Drinks into a Westvleteren glass. Copper coloured, fizzy and a nice creamy bubbly head. Aroma is spiced, sweet and fruity, rich and aromatic. Rich, bittersweet spiced and luxururious taste, De Struise have done it again. A great blend that is hard to discribe.

Bottle (vintage 2008). Honey, orange and toffee malt aroma. Cloudy dark brown-orange color with moderate head. Sweet orange, toffee malt and mildly bitter herbal finish. A bit past its prime but still nice.

33cl bottle. Pours an amber colour with a decent yellowish - beige head. Aroma of spiced pumpkin, treacle, alcohol and candied popcorn. Flavour is a little vegetal with nutmeg, cloves, hazelnuts and black pepper. A dry finish and moderate carbonation. An interesting nutty linger with alcohol present and warming.

330 ml bottle bought @ Bierkompass.de and consumed on December 23. 2010 vintage. Pours very hazy orange with lots of sediment and a thick white head that doesn’t leave much trace while dissipating. Smell is sweet and full bodied with figs, yeast, cloves and alcohol. Taste is sweet, slightly bitter and quite vinous with figs, almonds, dates, orange zest, lemon zest, ginger and black pepper. Finish is sweet and surprisingly bitter.
