Commercial Description:
Deep to orange blond abbey triple winterbeer which has been lagered for 8 months on different stonefruits. Tsjeeses was born out of a 5 year brew experience regarding x-mas beer without being capable of finding a suitable name up to now. With the name came a face, a caricature actually, that was drawn on the day Urbain, our brew master and master brewer, drank too many Tsjeeses's. Every time he drinks one, he says "Tsjeeses, what a beer". Therefore the name is more an expression of stupefaction than a curse. We have had already many discussions around the pronounciation of "Tsjeeses". Very close would be that you say "cheeses" or cheese in plural.

In the 330 mL bottle. Thanks to mdi for the beer! Pours a dark gold with a creamy off white head. Has the aroma of freshly baking bisquits in the oven. The first flavor is a mix of Pixie Sticks and 7-Up. This is a very grain-enriched beer. It has the dense fruitiness of pears and apricots. The honey-like nectar is big. There’s a sublime tartness discernable throughout the beer. I’m lovin’ it.

Bottle at Ulfborg RB tasting. Thanks to fonefan and brugmansia for sharing this beauty. Similar to the Tsjeeses Reserva but is more fruity. That means lots of spices like coriander in aroma and flavour along with a very fruity background. Its great.

My Bottom Line:
This sweet and spicy Tripel delights with its multifaceted dried fruitiness, its soft roundness and its doughy yeastiness, taking a creative and luxurious stance I’d like to witness more often in the style.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam sits atop the orange-tinged golden.
-Alcohol is quite subtle in the flavor profile.
-A touch of herbal hops graces the background.
-Spiciness and grain bill are harmonious.
-Orange peel allusions are important.

Bottle; best before October 2010.

Amber with a big and lasting white head. Complex yeast aroma, filled with spice notes, especially vanilla and cinnamon, and lemon and orange. Very dry with the same complex spice flavour. As is the case with Pannepot, this beats the Reserva version any day.

Bottle at home to celebrate beer #999. First off, a massive thanks to ygtbsm94 for this brew. Pours a dark amber cloudy with a quite bubbly off-white head that lasts well and laces a bit. Nose is spicy and tangy, not without a hint of orange, cherries and cinnamon. Little bit of alcohol and quite a bit of berry character too. Slightly lemony, with a constant spice play. Mouth is lemony and warm with an initial hop attack, but balancing out to a nice, slightly sweet, mellow, with lots of spicy fruits. Present throughout is a bit of a spirit burn, but as this makes its way to the palate, it too mellows and plays a warm glow all the way down to my belly! Lots of cinnamon, almost some eucalyptus, soft and very sippable. Tsjeeses, this is a fantastic beer.

RBSG 2008. This had a bit of oxidation to it, but still was a nice brew. Pours a cloudy orange with a small off-white head. Citrus notes give a crisp and tangy character, mild oxidation melds with a woody/earthy finish. The spices seem to mesh well with the malts.
