COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned.
Ingredients: Barley malt, hops, cane sugar, yeast and spices.
Strong blond winterbeer with fluffy white head which has been lagered for 8 months on different stonefruits. Tsjeeses was born out of a 5 year brew experience regarding x-mas beer without being capable of finding a suitable name up to now. With the name came a face, a caricature actually, that was drawn on the day Urbain, our brew master and master brewer, drank too many Tsjeeses’s. Every time he drinks one, he says "Tsjeeses, what a beer". Therefore the name is more an expression of stupefaction than a curse. We have had already many discussions around the pronounciation of "Tsjeeses". Very close would be that you say "cheeses" or cheese in plural.

On bottle 33 cl. Golden hazy color, good foam. Good intensity fruity aromas, some honey- nice Yeats influence. Full body & high complexity. Some sweetness , very well balanced. Very enjoyable

Bottle from Cork & Cask. Hazy amber body with a thin off-white head. No lacing. Aroma of syrup and strawberries. Flavour of caramel, peppery malt and heather honey - sweet but not cloying. Medium body with a sticky mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Drinks well for the strength but lacks complexity and depth.

June 2016 - Bottle share in Watford as ’Struise Tsjeeses’, 10%, 2013 vintage. Many thanks to Fergus. Dark murky hazy orange-brown, still, foamy dense creamy head, light lacing. Aroma is spicy, bready, tea, twiggy. Body is light, tingly carbonation, smooth. Taste is quite sweet, Candi sugar, some sherry, spicy finish, a little twiggy, some booze showing up. OK but a bit harsh and boozy. (3.3)

Cloudy amber to orange liquid, moderate quickly diminishing head. Very fruity nose. Lemon, melon, tropical fruit, candy, Belgian yeast. Complex. Medium to full body. Oily to creamy. Mighty still refreshing taste. Candy, lollipop, melon, spicy yeast, lemony hop. Light to medium bitterness balancing the whole celebration. Very distinct, very complex, a top achievement.

2015 bottle @Pułapka Gdańsk. Smells of dried fruit - a lot of raisins and dates... some plum, caramel, spices and some red wine notes. Pours hazy dark amber with off white head. Taste is dried fruit sweetness, caramel in the beginning and goes through belgian yeast and spices to a dry bread style finish. Soft carbonation, medium full. Overall I loved this beer, probably one of my Belgian favorites. Got one bottle to see how it ages. Amazing beer, highly recommended.

Uit de fles geschonken. Amberkleurig bier. Bekende moutige geur van Belgisch bier met wat tonen van gist. Smaak is moutig, kruidig, caramel. Een prima verwarmend bier, maar in vergelijking met andere Struise bieren vind ik deze iets minder, maar zeker niet slechts.

UPDATED: JUL 16, 2016 Bottle shared in swap by ShivanDragon. Many thanks! 2015 vintage. Surprisingly easy drinking, with high carbonation. Classic complex Belgian. Spicy, caramel, soft subtle grassy hoppiness. Alcohol dangerously well hidden. Classic.
