Ungstrup (11338), Frederiksberg, Denmark Oct 5, 2008 Bottled. An unclear golden beer with a lazing orangey head. The aroma is sweet with notes of spices and oranges. The flavor is sweet mlaty with strong notes of spices as well as some nice acidity, and alcohol making the body thick, leading to a dry spicy finish. Svesse (1806), Hässelby, Sweden Oct 3, 2008 (Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival, 20 Sep 2008) Dark amber colour, cloudy, with brief head. Fruity, malty nose with dried apricots, orange peel and a hint of yeast. Full malty taste with notes of dried fruit, apricots, orange and a spicy finish with hints of clove. Apperance: Hazy golden/red apperance with a white head.
Aroma: Spices, Orange, Coriander, Cinnamon.
Flavor: Citric notes esp orange, Spices, Caramel, Fruit. Very nice!
Palate: Sweet and complex with some bitterness and alcoholbite at the end. A very nice beer for those cold winter-evenings. Nice fruit sweetness with citrus and honey. Full rich body and very smooth on the palate. Long finish of course. Great beer.
