COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Deep to orange blond abbey triple winterbeer which has been lagered for 8 months on different stonefruits. Tsjeeses was born out of a 5 year brew experience regarding x-mas beer without being capable of finding a suitable name up to now. With the name came a face, a caricature actually, that was drawn on the day Urbain, our brew master and master brewer, drank too many Tsjeeses's. Every time he drinks one, he says "Tsjeeses, what a beer". Therefore the name is more an expression of stupefaction than a curse. We have had already many discussions around the pronounciation of "Tsjeeses". Very close would be that you say "cheeses" or cheese in plural.

I do want to thank my wife for it she picked it up for me. Poured into a tulip I got a finger worth of white head that trailed to a thin lace. The color of the brews body was peachy orange. Some floaties were there as well Aromas of a slight earthy funk, candy sugar and spices (Nutmeg) filled my nose. The flavor was close to the nose. Sweet and earthy with some great Christmas spices. I treated it like a sipper and I loved it. The brew felt about medium bodied in my mouth with good carbonation. If my wife wants to buy me another I gladly drink it again. I might even buy one myself

’09 keg ... Orange hazy pour off white head lots of sticky lacing ... aroma is of oranges and spices with some fruity character but mostly the orange and spices .... taste is of oranges, spices, citrusy fruits and caramel malts with a fruity belgian yeast and some grainy/warming abv to it with a lingering spicy kick that stays through the dry warming finish .... a well rounded brew

Thanks to Holy for sharing a bottle. Cloudy golden pour. Light aroma and good flavor of Christmas spices. Nice, and my non-beer-loving wife loved it too.

Bottle, 2011. Slightly hazy amber/orange with big off-white head. Aroma is malt, yeast, fruit and a little orange peel. Flavour is malt, medium sweet, yeast, hops, little bitter, spices, little caramel, little orange peel and notes of alcohol.

330 ml bottle at Wasana’s Winter Beer Tasting 2012, Idar-Oberstein, Germany. With much thanks to Holy. For me it was the best beer of the evening. Pours a brown off-white head. Aroma is a sweet and full bodied, with corander, fruit, cloves and alcohol. Taste is fruity malts. Palate is nice and I like this one from Struise which most of them I do not.

Bottle. Hazy orange colour with off white head. Aroma is spicey, Belgian yeast, citrus and cinnamon and nutmeg. Flavour is heavy, full sweetness. Alcoholic aftertaste, some sweet ginger (?) and some of the spices detected. Bit disappointing when I looked at al the high ratings here. Still really good, but it does not live up to the hype.

33cl bottle. Orange and a bit hazy with a big white head. Nose : Very distinctive smell. Quite estery. Fruity raisins and cherry and well spiced (mostly clove and cinnamon) . It’s a bit skunky which is surprising with notes of grains, hay and caramel. Also a bit cheesy .... Sip : fantastic liquid, easy to swallow with my favorite balance : it’s a bit dense with low carbonation and creamy. Really nice. Sweet with fruity ester acid taste that becomes almost dry on the end. Little bitter hops makes it a well balance. Overall it’s a really nise winter beer. Extra points for the texture.

Draught at Zephyr, Juneau. Rather orange beer in dim lighting. Had to warm the tulip glass for a bit as it was served about 15 degrees too cold, as is often the case. Aroma was mild with some floral and mineral notes. Flavors were initially of fruits and sweetness giving way to a potpourri of bitter floral and herb flavors which lingered nicely. Another enjoyable drink from these esteemed brouwers.
