Bottle from Etre Gourmet. Pours unclear dark amber with a big creamy off-white head. Aroma is malty caramel, weak fruit. Taste is moderate sweet, dusty and cellarish malts, light burning alcohol at the end, not the normal Struise complexity here, still a decent beer.

Corked bottle. Dark brown color Floral hops, red fruit and a hint of rye in the aroma. Full bodied. Grainy sweet flavor with red fruit, rye bread. The alcohol is pretty well hidden, still a powerful beer.

Dark, hazy brown pour. Small khaki head. No lacing. Smells of sugar and yeast. Nice spiciness. But quickly drowned out with a sugary sweetness. A slight infected taste to it. Not that good. Those are the dice your roll sometimes.

Lots of molasses, malt flavor. Smooth mouthfeel and creamy but small head. Nose is spicy with herbal notes. Phenomenal and quite unique. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

draft at Publick House. Orange pour, sweet floral notes and pretty agressive with the rye. the two contrasts seem to feed off each other nicely. candi sugar sweetness, much more bitter than most triples. decent

75cl bottle from Klaveren Aas Beveren. Clear dark brown colored beer with hardly any head and carbonation. Sweet fruity nose with lots of caramel and some alcohol. Lot’s of caramel and brown sugar flavors. Dark fruits and at the end some alcohol warming. Good beer but not worth the relative high amount of money I paid for it.

(Draught at Monk’s Porterhouse, Stockholm, 19 Jan 2013) Dark brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with caramel, brown sugar and crisp-bread. Malty, fruity taste with notes of caramel, dried fruit, orange peel, brown sugar and a generous spicy bitterness in the finish. Full body, quite sweet, with a glowing alcohol finish. Very nice.

On tap at Brewster’s, LAX. Nice to get a crack at this one. Lustrous deep orange/amber pour, glowing, not too much in the way of carbonation. Nose is a curious mix of deep fruitiness and sharp rye, just a bit boozy too. Mouthfeel is a bit sticky, and the beer tastes quite sweet in places. When it seems to back - allowing the yeast, the rye, and the fruit to coexist - it succeeds, but it’s too often bordering on the cloying.
