Bottled. Pours hazy deep golden with a small, lacing off-white head. Aroma of fruit, toasted caramel, spice and yeast. Sweet flavor that ends dry and bitter.with some alcohol. Medium bodied, oily texture and softt carb. An excellent Quad.

Draft at Ei8ht Ball in mid February from notes. Pours a dark caramel color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have sweet caramel, toffee, dark fruit and some alcohol that is borderline boozy. I thought the body was a bit thin for the style. Very sweet.

This is too sweet for my feminine sensibilities. Really heavy candy sugar flavors. Some dark fruits, nuts and spices. Nah i cant do much of this after 40 or so tastings.

Taste at RBNG. Pours light amber with a but of white head. Aroma of caramel, nuts, lemon. Very heavy caramel, some coffee, maple, overly sweet.

Bronze gold, 1 finger very creamy head. sticky head lacing. Nose is quite nice. Caramel, lemon, some cheap candies and walnuts. Quite sweet. Rye & whiskey sort of booziness. Candy corns and hint of onions. Itís quite nice...not something Iíd age

Taster at ei8ht ball - fruity and expensive as all get out. Boozy but not 12% boozy. Sweet and malty.

Taster on tap at Ei8ht Ball. Mostly clear amber orange color. Minimal ring of off-white head. Good belgian yeast character, nice light toasty malt, more caramel malt. Good light amount of belgian candy sugar, some toffee. Nice longer aftertaste, hints of banana, light belgian yeast character in the finish. Moderate sweet taste, lightly spicy. Hides the alcohol astonishingly well, whatís up with that? This is really 12%? The only thing hinting at that is the bigger, slightly slick body. The minimalist of bites in the finish. Besides the bigger body, this drinks like 9%. I better put this taster away or Iím going to get buzzed quick.. Not the most interesting or complex double Iíve ever had, but it definitely gets points. Itís no Rochefort 10 in terms of complexity and aroma, but this does a killer job at masking the alcohol.

Tap sample. Poured a clear copper orange color with an average fizzy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy tart balanced and small alcohol aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth sticky texture and soft carbonation and small particles. Medium to heavy fruit sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. Solid complex brew.

Draft pour. Pours a clear copper with no head. The aroma has notes of candied fruits, caramel, and toffee. Taste is bigger on sweetness and it makes the mouth feel sticky. Bigger body. Sort of dries out in the finish. Low carbonation
