Bottle from Cracked Kettle. Pale body, big head. Buttery and banana nose. Sweet flavours. With malts and spices too. A sour finish.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Doppelganger (1383) - Dry County, Arkansas, USA - DEC 30, 2008
Bottle from cgarvieuk--thanks Craig! Pale straw, lots of noisy white head. Buttery mineral nose, plums and light spice. Good sharp lactic bite, a touch of butter in the flavor as well. Short lemony finish. Bright, dry, refreshing. A few months of age on this bottle have accentuated what seems to me to be a very light, probably intentional lactic bacteria character. The acidity of that, I like. The diacetyl of that, not as much. Still, I dig this beer, and as a thirst-quencher it beats the sweeter sorts of Belgian wits by a wide margin.

Fizzy with thin head. Aroma of cotton candy. Sweet and sour bubble gum flavor with no finish. Fair.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 marcus (3763) - Sacramento, California, USA - NOV 18, 2008
This hazy yellow beer poured with a rich white head and a banana aroma. It’s rather hearty for a wheat beer and is nicely spiced - not too much.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 BeerBelcher (972) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - OCT 22, 2008
I ended up with this at the Delirium Cafe due to some confusion from a not-too-beer-savvy bartendress and something of a language barrier. I wish I would have had something else, as I was not impressed.
This beer is almost clear with a light yellow tinge. Head is a pretty thorough coating of universally-sized bubbles not different from a macro-lager. Aroma was very faintly wheat-y, but there was not much there...maybe a touch of sugar. Flavor is slightly bitter grainy-ness in the back of the mouth with some citrus notes. Flavor seemed awfully unbalanced - lots of malt but not much else. I was unimpressed.
I would not recommend this beer. I had this from a bottle at the Delirium Cafe in Brussels.
4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 ARMed (524) - Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 16, 2008
Its tough for me to find a strong flaw in this beer becuase it is exceptionallly easy to drink and has a fantastic unique flavor with a great body (all of the most desirable elements of a truly great beer in one’s eyes). One minor drawback is that the head quickly disaapates rather than lingers around the glass. However, the high carbonation keeps you wanting more. The slightly sour undertones are very appealing and make me think it is similar to a German gose beer. A very great brew by Struise that now makes me want to try all thier beers!
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 movezig (137) - Pensacola, Florida, USA - OCT 16, 2008
Pretty good white. Sort of lacked in taste my only problem. Comparing to hoegaarden or bernardus. Nose was good some light vanilla, light fruit, acidic character. Flavor has the same, light vanilla but a bit more acid and fruit. Was a nice white. Only Struise im able to get around here :(. Very light palate.
