The Noordhoek Ostrich Farm and Resort has been offering visitors an oasis of silence, tranquility and green pasture since 1997. In 2001 we began offering our guests fresh, homemade ale, "Struise Witte" was born. The dutch word for "ostriches" is "struisvogels" or "Struise", but the same word can also mean "sturdy" or "robust". This "Robust White" is a living wheat beer of high fermentation, unfiltered and unpasteurized. Brewed with natural ingredients, bottle conditioned in 33 cl bottles.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

StoutHead (778) - DENMARK - DEC 29, 2013
Bottle at home. Pours a murky amber color with a small and quickly disappearing white head. Aroma of yeast and fruits. Primary taste is citrussy, but has a complex fruity flavour with notes of wheat, grass, yeast and various spices. Pretty full body for a witbier. Dry, citrussy and a bit sour aftertaste. Not really my kind of beer but okay, although I probably shouldn’t have let it warm up as much as I did.

Bottle from Au Grain d’Orge - Orange Amber color, no foam - Vinous, yeasty, wheat aroma - weird vinous, malty, hints of caramel - medium body, sweet, flat carbonation - not good, try 3 bottles to be sure but there is something wrong, infection or it’s really not for me
