COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Noordhoek Ostrich Farm and Resort has been offering visitors an oasis of silence, tranquility and green pasture since 1997. In 2001 we began offering our guests fresh, homemade ale, "Struise Witte" was born. The dutch word for "ostriches" is "struisvogels" or "Struise", but the same word can also mean "sturdy" or "robust". This "Robust White" is a living wheat beer of high fermentation, unfiltered and unpasteurized. Brewed with natural ingredients, bottle conditioned in 33 cl bottles.

(Struise Witte) Bottle 330 ml at home, poured into a small tulip, ABV 5% Faded yellow colour on the body, mostly clear. Good sized but thin head, with okay retention, leaving light lacing on the glass. Aroma of malts, straw, some lemon, wheat. Taste of wheat, lemon, straw. Medium thin body, low carbonation. Nothing special but easy to drink and refreshing.

0.33l bottle. Hazy orange body, thin white head. Aroma of peach, berries, cloves and yeast. Taste of peach, lemon juice, bread and cloves. Not bad, but it’s not going to be my favourite wit.

Bottle 33cl, a cloudy orange beer with medium head. Nose is on malt, grain and wheat with yeast touch. Aroma is on grain and fresh bread, slightly fruity, belgian yeast astringency, lemon finish.

Bottle at a bar. Poured a cloudy yellow golden colour with a small white head. Grains, some corn hints, fruity smell, berries, citrus, belgian yeast. Nice and fruity for a white beer

330ml bottle. 09/07/2014.
BBD: out of date for 3 months.
In short: afruity ale.
Pours clear dark gold with some white head. Short head retention, poor lacing. Fruity, berries aromas. Light to medium body, average carbonation, crispy texture. Taste is fruity, wheat character not foud, some berry flavours, citrusy. Enjoyable.
