mike1977ok (633), Netherlands Jun 23, 2008 Hazy yellow colour and low density lively white foam. Aroma is a little musty. Flavour is too sour. This has a similar acidity to chamapgne. Awful stale taste and overall unpleasant aroma. 1FastSTi (2551), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA Jun 19, 2008 Bottle. Pours to a straw colored body with a super dense fully lasting nitro looking white head. The aroma is very good. Citrus rinds, herbal notes of some kind of flowers like hibiscus and starfruit. The flavor is a wheaty orange oil and mandarin oranges with a tart yeast and subtle coriander. Refreshing palate but average texture. A very unique wit. Significant flavor differences to any other I’ve sampled. Enjoyit (1697), Vadum, Denmark Jun 19, 2008 Hazy golden of color with a light white head. An aroma with notes of sweets, spice and orange. A flavor of wheat, citrus and spice. renffisch (495), london, Greater London, England Jun 15, 2008 bottle at tashi’s thanks to mes and reakt. Dirty hazy golden colour, light white head. Nose of honey, orange, coriander and oats. Thin bodied. Pronounced bitterness. short palate. not a big fan of belgium whites in general but this is ok. mabel (2530), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 10, 2008 [1181-20080303] 330mL. Faint aroma of wheat and lemon. Hazy, light brown orange body with a long-lasting creamy white head. Generic wheat grain flavour has hints of bitter lemon rind. Medium body finishes bitterly. Average.
(@ Cambrinus; Brugges, BE; w/ jerc) changeup45 (782), Orlando, Florida, USA Jun 9, 2008 Golden colored and pours a huge white fluffy head with good retention. The aroma is malty, with some grass and herbal with just a touch of citrus. The flavor is a citrus tang; I get orange, coriander and lemons along with wheaty malts. Acidic with quite a bit of carbonation. Seemed a bit thin and over carbonated. Interesting, refreshing beer and overall pretty good but nothing special. jerohen (1602), Bussum, Netherlands Jun 7, 2008 Updated: Jun 8, 2008Bottled. Cloudy golden/orange coloured, lasting head, lots of carbonation. Fruity nose, some yeast. Somewhat bitter flavour, spices, some yeast. Doesn’t really taste like a Witbier, because of the hops it seems more like a Belgian ale. Nice thirst quencher. HenrikSoegaard (4263), Randers, Denmark Jun 5, 2008 Bottle from Ølkonsortiet. Creamy white excellent mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Light malty and hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Short moderate bitter finish. Oily palate. This beer really lacks fruity esters and citrus notes. Not much witt about it. I dont like it.
