Really dark for a tripel. Nice foam. Nose is cereals, caramel, roasty notes and yeast. Taste is similar. Medium soft body. Not my thing!

at my home along with Yves and bart 0.75L bottle of dark brown black colored body with an off white head and with a spicy fruity malt and hops chocolat aroma a spicy fruity hop bitter alcholic malt taste with a bitter alcholic finish

330mL bottle, pours a murky amber-tinged brown with a large beige head. Aroma brings out lots of Belgian yeast, light caramel, and some dark fruitiness. Flavour is rich on the caramel, with non-cloyingly sweet caramel, candied sugar, Belgian yeast, and a little heat – though the ABV is surprisingly well-concealed for a 10% beer. This is quite a bit more complex than the average rating suggests. Well-contained sweeteness, complex with the caramel notes, and just enough heat to pack a punch. Wonderful stuff.

Wonderful. The mixing comes together in a way that would normally be gimmicky if anyone but Struise was involved. Pours clear mahogany with good head and lacing. Light booze and coriander, the latter which is somewhat eclipsed by rye. Sweet and sour finish. Tap at Churchkey.

From tap @ BBF 2014. Pours hazy amber/orange with small white head. Sharp, soup, fruity and bubblegum aroma. Flavor is sweet with notes of soup, fruits. Quite sharp.

Dark amber with huge beige head. nose: caramel, philopino liqueur, but fresh, surprising. malts, sweet, sugar. taste is balanced, alcohol warming, whaaaaw, nice beer. but short finish. sweet, but dry. good brew, good in the details. Gonna try this again!

Tap at Irreale. Fruit/berry base, Belgian yeast, portlike on roasted dry rye edges, nuts/marzipan, malt sirup, umami. Fullbodied yet somewhat dry on the palate. Berries and Maggi retronasal
