In bottle (vintage 2013); pours a hazy brown color. Aroma quite sweet ... taste was of candied fruit, somewhat creamy .. a nice beer. I quite enjoyed this one, though the 12% stopped to take over at the end.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Geers. Rich mahogany pour with thin veil of off cream colored foam. Aroma is rich, lots of boozy fruits, plums, walnuts, candied fruit, light toasty aroma. Taste is sweet, toasty with rather well hidden alcohol behind a lot of toasty caramel and fruity sweet goodness. Palate is rich, full bodied with good carbonation. Nice.

Drank 18-8 while Facebook-messaging. Smell is similar to Alesmith grand cru (alcohol, barrel-agnedness, sweet/bourbon). Really soft, sweet beer. Nice quadrupel. Bourbon taste is very nice and very present. Like this beer. Aftertaste is dominated by alcohol.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
33 cl. bottle poured in to a Trappist glass. Lovely, deep amber-golden colour with a small, dense white head. Sweet aroma with rich caramel malts, green apples, plums - ripe fruits. A slight hint of booze. Some syrup. A bit restrained. Taste is heavy sweet. Full body with a lively carbonation that is a bit disturbing to my palate. Cuts to much of the richness. Finishes sweet and fruity with some warmth from the alcohol. Okay Quadrupel - However, I had higher expectations to a beer from Struise.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Dark amber with medium size dense pale brown head. Aroma a little weak, dried fruits and some alcohol. Taste dried fruits, sweet malts, raisins, bananas. The lack in aroma costs this beer a few points overall, otherwise nice-
