2010 bottle. Very beautiful deep rouge with great pillow of cream. Mature aromas - woody, heady rich yet sharp berry fruit in a cellar. Rich berries and vinous notes, sweet / tart and oaky. Red wine. Classy.

ACHops (1241) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAR 11, 2015
On tap @ Stumbling Monk. Pours hazy dark brown with a slight reddish tint and medium cream colored head. Aroma is crisp lightly sweet malt, light tartness in the back. Taste is crisp clean rich neutral brown malt; oaky, earthy mild sour flavor on the back that lingers through the finish. Fairly mild sour, but works well with the clean rich malt.

Bottle, Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Deep dark brown pour with a small tan head. Aroma had notes of dark fruits, barrel, chocolate and vinegar. Similar traits were present flavour wise which had some sourness alongside some brown sugar ,booze and spice. Dried out towards the finish. A bit odd and far from my favourite Struise offering but not without some charm.

Bottle. Dark brown with a creamy, slight tan head. Nice malty, oaky, sour, long dried fruity nose. Med bodied, easy to drink. Light soft tartness, Old dried dark fruits, soft oak, leathery tones. Very flavourful, enjoyable drink. Quite soft, but with the slight acidic bite that makes these so good.
