Tap@DeMolen. Reddish-brown color with a thin tan head. Dark fruits, wood, hints of vanilla, perhaps even a bit of dark chocolate. Generally sourish, medium bodied, tarty. Lots of barrel in the taste. Dry, lasting aftertaste. It delivers.

500ml bottle from Struise Brouwer shop in Brugge - Very nice looking deep red body, thick bubbly white head. Nose is a heady mix of sour berries, lots of cherries and plums, with a taste that is the same albeit a little too bitter for my taste. Thinner mouthfeel than I expected, but overall, quite pleasant.

50cl bottle from ’t Drankenhuys. Reddish dark brown with a medium beige head which disappeared quickly. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation. Sour with some sweet and bitter tones. Vinegar, citrus, combined with notes of dark bread, some chocolate and caramel in the background. A decent sour brew.

Draft at the Sybarite Pig in Boca Raton. Snifter. Deep reddish brown pour with a serious white fluffy head. Aroma of cherries, wine cask, tart fruits, and spice. The taste was more mild than I expected with semi-tart cherries, slight sweetness, a light malt and hop base, and some spice. Very light body, small carbonation. Finish is tart cherries as well. Good beer but it could be better. Wish it was more tart.

UPDATED: JAN 24, 2014 50 cl bottle @ home. Pours basically the color of cola with some sediment and a tan head that leaves a little lacing. Aroma and flavour are red wine, tartness, red berries, caramel, and funk - with a tart finish.

(Draught at Monk’s Porterhouse, Stockholm, 10 Jan 2014) Dark brown colour with frothy, brown head. Fruity, sourish nose with caramel, brown sugar, dark fruit, prunes and a certain balsamic vinegar acidity. Malty, fruity, tart taste with notes of balsamic vinegar, dried fruit, vanilla and caramel. Fairly dry finish with a balanced vinegar acidity. Medium body. Fresh, tasty and well balanced sour ale. Nice one.
