50cl bottle from Ale&Hop in Barcelona. Pours dark reddish brown with a creamy off white head. Smell has a distinct sweet sour character with yeast, red fruits, wine and a light metallic note. The sweetness seems to be more evident in the first few minutes the bottle was opened. Taste is mildly acidic with the wine note from the Bourgogne very noticeable along some fruity flavors (cherries, plums). High carbonation, no hops. Very good.

Explosive opening - if this was an intentional hint to the war... , gushes all over. Murky dark brown, vinous but leans more to soft full than uniformly sour. Malt, candi syrup, oak. A tad too carbonated, which explains the fountain opening. Lovely old brown though!

Nose - fruity brown sauce and mince pies. Taste - sour mince pies. Palate - medium bodied, tangy and balanced. Overall - delicious Flemish Brown!
