Bottle. Pours dark mahogany red with an enormous velvety off white creamy head receding to finger thickness. Aroma is dark wooden notes, tobacco and dark fruit with prunes. Quite light body with creamy texture and soft carbonation. Flavour is tart and funky with ripe fruits, vanilla and wooden barrels, with earthy notes and barnyard in the finish.

On tap at Backcountry Pizza. Pours a cloudy amber with paperthin beige head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is strong oak, cherry skin, and funk. Thin mouthfeel with nice sourness up front with oak and funk with nice tart finish. So good.

Drank during an awesome tasting at Thijs’ place 28-3-2014. Smells like yoghurt. Lots of carbonation, but still soft, nice. However, the beer is sour, too bad. Don’t really like that. However, the end is bitter, not too sour. The present bourbon taste and very well-developed softness compensate a lot for the sourness.

Bottle 500 ml at home, into a snifter. ABV 7% Big GUSHER! -2 on overall. Pours very dark mahogany brown, seems very clear. Two fingers of beige head, good density, good head retention too. Light lacing on the glass. Aroma of sour cherries, some sugar, I get some chocolate too but very faint. Taste is also sour cherries, wood, grapes. QUite thick body, good carbonation, very tart palate. Okay beer, didn’t excite me as much as I ws expecting. Good though.

Dark red brown color with a red glare coming through, small off-white head. Aroma is a bit chemical and it reminds me of vegetables. Don’t like it. Taste is sourish with plants and wet leaves. Don’t like the taste either. Ok body and carbonation.

66cl bottle appearance: dark reddish brown with a nice compact tiny bubly head with good retention. Aroma: Sour apples and tanine. Taste: Starts out with sour apples and cherries, maybe even grapes, nice woody finish Suprisingly rolling it arround in the mouth shows some actuall sweetness and some good complexity. Finish is dry. Very wine like. The aftertaste is cherries with wood, quite nice. Thin mouthfeel, slighttly overcarbonated. While this is quite good at the current time, it makes me wonder how it develops over time.
