This blonde and slight sour beer is the result of a research combining Brettanomyces Bruxellensis and Bourbon barrels & some skills out of the Wild Woesten

Tasting at Bruce’s Pad. Thanks to Paul for this one. Lightly hazy gold beer with good size yellow white head. Palate is light and and slightly crisp. Little dry seltzer. Touches of cream and vanilla. Super light bourbon and citrus. Comes together well for a light dry finish. Interestingly light BA beer.

Bottle, shared at Bruce’s. It pours pale golden with a small white head. The nose is wood, damp leaf, lemon, vanilla, coconut, light acidity and floral notes. The taste is smooth, lightly tart, hay, floral, touch of cabbage, damp leaf, light toast, white grape, appletiser and a bit of acidity with a dry finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation, Quite mellow and lacking punch for a De Struise beer. Alright.

Bottle cheers to Paul. Clear blonde with a small white cap on top. Lighter than I was expecting for BA. Nose has plenty of lemon and hay, big citrus and sweet vanilla undertones. Quite light in sourness with good balance and moderate fruity sweetness. Taste has plenty of oaky vanilla notes, lemon tang, zest, light spice on the back end. A little grainy but superb balance. Loads of citrus in this. Sourness never overwhelms but never really gets in your face either. A very solid drop

Bottle shared at my 5K tasting at Bruce’s pad, thanks to Paolo for this one, 13/11/13. Lightly hazed golden blonde with a moderate off white covering that thins to a swirl. Nose is straw, dank wood, lemon rind, very subtle lick of bourbon. Taste comprises lemon dipped straw, earthy, tarte citric fruits, sour dough bread, bitter orange, fain bourbon tones. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, crisp finale. Ok stuff, very drinkable but not as much depth as I was expecting.

UPDATED: NOV 14, 2013 Bottle shared at Bruce’s in London - many thanks to Paul. Pours hazy yellow with a moderate, frothy white head; looks great. Pleasant aroma, some citrus, grapefruit, melon, mild funk. Light sweet flavor, very nice citrus, tangerine, lemon, faint hay and white bread. Light bodied with fine, caressing carbonation. Lovely finish, mild tangy lemon, pale bread, very slight funk. Excellent beer. Nice balance. Very drinkable.

UPDATED: NOV 7, 2013 A clear blond beer, with an average white head. In the nose there is sour, fruit, citrus, iron and light yeasty. It is a medium bodied beer, with a excellent carbonation. In the taste there is sour, light bitter and some sweet probably from the bourbon. It is a soft sour and fresh beer, very nice. The aftertaste is soft, mild bitter and a touch of bourbon. A very interesting blond beer, a excellent mix of brett, blond beer and bourbon. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

hazy gold with heavy lacing, soft oily white head. Bit stronger than normal lenses, more uniform, oily and more uniform than reg lensis, bit skunky behind some earth. Flavor lightly papery, less grain and bitterness than reg, more vanilla and oak, still citric but too slick.

750ml bottle pours a hazy, dark gold with some filmy, sticky, white head. Nose is lemony, wood, fresh vanilla bean, bretty, grassy, band aid. Flavor has some band aid, a little vitamin C tablet, some lemon, some sugar, a little vanilla, a little perfume, some tropical fruit. Soft finish. Very neat. Must have been a very neutral barrel.

Bottle courtesy, yet again, of JT, thank you sir! Cloudy pale yellow color, fluffy white head with good retention and solid lacing. Aroma of vanilla, straw, light lemon. Taste is white wine, vanilla, lemon. Tasty.
