This blonde and slight sour beer is the result of a research combining Brettanomyces Bruxellensis and Bourbon barrels & some skills out of the Wild Woesten

hazy gold with heavy lacing, soft oily white head. Bit stronger than normal lenses, more uniform, oily and more uniform than reg lensis, bit skunky behind some earth. Flavor lightly papery, less grain and bitterness than reg, more vanilla and oak, still citric but too slick.

750ml bottle pours a hazy, dark gold with some filmy, sticky, white head. Nose is lemony, wood, fresh vanilla bean, bretty, grassy, band aid. Flavor has some band aid, a little vitamin C tablet, some lemon, some sugar, a little vanilla, a little perfume, some tropical fruit. Soft finish. Very neat. Must have been a very neutral barrel.

75cl bottle, thanks GT2. Medium off-white head atop hazy light amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, lemon, barnyard, some Chardonnay, light Bourbon. Taste is moderately sweet, Chardonnay/Bourbon, light funk. Light-medium body, low carbonation.

Bottle courtesy, yet again, of JT, thank you sir! Cloudy pale yellow color, fluffy white head with good retention and solid lacing. Aroma of vanilla, straw, light lemon. Taste is white wine, vanilla, lemon. Tasty.

Bottle shared by GT2. Pours lightly hazy yellow with a medium, frothy white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is tart fruits, earthy hops, biscuit malt and pear esters. Flavor is malt forward with lightly tart pear, vinous notes, light hops and bitterness, light malt and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Bottle shared by GT. Thanks! Clear golden pour with a white head. Skunky aroma, but nice lemon, oak, and vanilla. Lots of fruit. Melon, pear, and apple. Whiskey, a touch of booze, and a light herbal note. Flavor has plenty of charred oak and whiskey flavor. Tart, acidic lemon notes. Sweet pear, melon, and apple. A touch of tart grape on the finish.

Bottle from the Brugge Shop. Lemon nose with yogurt, vanilla, wood, bourbon. Cloudy gold with fine lace. Cream flavor of vanilla, lemon, soft and silky, a bit salty. Very soft and silky body with fine carbonation. Didnít know if these flavors would work together, but they do.

750mL from Etre. Pours a low haze, pale golden with medium foam and wispy lacing. Nose is at first a bit skunky thanks to the green bottle, then moves to pineapple, vanilla, lemon, bright funk, sugar. Taste is drained, dill, cucumber, cantaloupe, sugary melon, rustic malt. Palate is drained, aerated, dry. Not really similar to the normal Struiselensis which was flat, acetic, salty. Didnít get any bourbon.

Slightly hazy golden colour, white head. Sour aroma, lemon peel, vanilla and wood. Sweet vanilla flavour, tart lemon. Finish vanilla, light sour touch, wood and bourbon. Nice and somewhat strange, but compared to the ínormalí Struiselensis it lags a bit behind - even if they are too different for really calling it comparing. I have the feeling it could grow in aging though.

A Brett blond with barrel aging? Sign me up! Mostly clear body, light golden with a bubbly soda light head. Appley, vinegar, clean yeast, young cheese, bit floral. Thinner than expected, maybe because of the sourness. At least this makes for a crisp body. The bourbon aging doesnít really work for me and might also contribute to the Watery texture. It just all doesnít make much sense together. Maybe itís my high expectation but I donít think this is the best of experiments. We donít have to age every beer in bourbon barrels, you know? (75cl bottle from Dranken Geers)
