Commercial Description:
This blonde and slight sour ale is the result of a research combining Brettanomyces Bruxellensis and Pediococus Cerivisae from Wyeast and some skills out of the Wild Woesten.
Special beer by Struise as a tribute to Lembeek brewers.

pours a hazy pale orange with a small white head that fades quickly to a ring. the aroma makes my mouth water... minerals, bretty stink, lacto sourness, watered down apple cider, wood, grass, savory yeast and floral qualities. the flavor is green apple tart, light yeast, pale malt and a spicy finish... rather uneventful. medium to full bodied. low carbonation makes it smooth but somewhat dead on the palate. feels like it’s missing something...

courtesy of Pascal Sauser - hazy golden-orange colour; fast vanishing foam; aroma of apple and vinegar, pineapple and some undefined spices; some grilled almonds too; medium-bodied with a solid sourness; long sourish and quite dry fruity finish - very good beer

Pours a very hazy yellow with a minimal head. Smell is distinctly of lemons and grapefruit mixed with some trademark barnyard funk, though 85% of the aroma is lemon (aroma gets high marks for being that unique). Taste is overwhelmingly lemon, and surprisingly thin. Very dry on the palate. Reminiscent of Fantome Hiver. Relatively un-complex and somewhat of a letdown, though not un-enjoyable.

Thanks Bob for this one! Pours a hazy golden amber with a minimal white head. Smells delicious. Funky tropical fruits, light cheese and hints of sweetness. So far, awesome. Initially, a nice dose of light fruits hit your tongue, followed very quickly by a healthy dose of tartness. After your mouth finishes puckering, a nice sourness closes out the flavors. Despite the sourness and somewhat vinegar-y sourness, you can find some sweetness back there in the malt. My one complaint is that this lacks the complexity of the best sours - this is relatively straightforward. With that said, this is quite tasty. Mouthfeel has a nice, soft carbonation and the finish lingers well. Overall, recommended. A nice, not overly expensive sour ($6.50 says the tag) with some excellent puckering qualities.

Pours a clear golden. Almost no head. Aroma is super, lots of apples, barnyard, pear, lactic acid. Fine, super dry mouthfeel. Super soft flavour, good apples, oranges, tartness. No feeling of the ABV. A super pleasant beer, though there could be more power in the flavour.

Thanks to Nate for sharing! This is one of the most interesting new brews I’ve had in quite some time. Clear gold body with a creamy, frothy white head. The smell is super funky with lots of apple, lemon, pear, acid, and some sweet notes as well. Brutally dry and funky taste with lemon, pear, peach, and apple, with a long, tart acidic finish. It’s really cool to see what wild yeasts can do without traditional, spontaneous fermentation. Really akin to a gueuze. Beautifully rendered, masterfully fermented.

From bottle. Nice funky mild sour nose. Good fruity character, with lots of barnyard funk and Brett. Subtle aroma but inviting. With dregs, cloudy medium golden-amber, with thin white lacing head. Thin body but not really watery per se. Medium carbonation with acidic burn. Starts nice and sour, with funky Brett and lactic notes. Acidic wheat, light woody character and neutral sweetness. Lots of funky character and sour notes. Enjoyably tart and dry with a crisp finish and nice clean after. Well-balanced. Reminds me of a really smooth lambic-gueuze. Terrific quaff.

Scent is not terribly strong but what is there is quite good a lot of apple, funk, vinegar aromas with a little hay. The beer looks nice it is a hazy golden color without much head but a lively carbonation likened to a champagne. The flavor is particularly nice, the sourness and funkyness are delicious and very present however not overwhelming at all and gives way to nice tart fruity flavors well balanced with by the beer’s dominant dryness. The beer is very nice with a sharp palate and is very drinkable; I would drink a six pack of this if I could ever afford it.
