Commercial Description:
This blonde and slight sour ale is the result of a research combining Brettanomyces Bruxellensis and Pediococus Cerivisae from Wyeast and some skills out of the Wild Woesten.
Special beer by Struise as a tribute to Lembeek brewers.

Bottle. Pours a lightly hazy gold with big white head. Aroma is lightly funky with notes of tart apple. Flavor is moderately sour, with a lemony blast of tartness before some sour apple takes over. Bready malt lays a nice background for some notes of brett, though they’re mild and I was most likely searching for them. Finish is dry and short, leaving my tonque numb. Interesting and tasty, but this bottle was pricy.

From a 330 ml bottle purchased at John’s Grocery in Iowa City. Medium gold body with a white head. The aroma is tart cherries with some hints of horseblanket. Dandelions also come in to play with the vineous character. The taste is fairly tart at first with lemon juice and blue cheese. Then as you drink more, you get some dry hay and bread crust. Light carbonation complements the refreshing, summer type flavors. This is very similar to some of the better lambics I have tried, but is more thick in the mouthfeel. This is solid and would be a treat for fans of sour ales.

(Bottled, 0.75l) Hazy golden with a smallish, quite firm, bright white head. Tart and fruity Brettanomyces aroma of sour apples and apricot. Sour apples in the dry flavor with hints of sugary sweetness and moderate acidity in the finish. Like saison and gueuze blended. Pretty crisp and refreshing, mildly tart and acidic mouthfeel with somewhat fizzy carbonation. Pretty good wild yeast experiment, yet a bit too bland to fill the boots of the Cantillon glass I drank it from :). (Draught) Pretty much the same stuff, but a bit drier.

Bottled. This beer is really weird to me, when I know what I drink, I really like it and buy many bottles in Ølbutikken, but then Papsø served it for me blind and I gave it a 2.4 (5/3/4/3/9), since I thougt it was an infected beer, not supposed to taste like this.

A hazy dark golden beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is acidic with notes of brettanomyces, citrus and other fruits on a weak malty back ground. The flavor is lovely acidic (when I know what I’m drinking) leaving a tart note on the palate and tongue, combined with notes of brettanomyces, citrus, barnyard, lactic acid, and straw.

Poured from an 11.2oz bottle and served in a tulip. This beer poured a hazy golden with a thin head of off-white foam that quickly faded away into nothing. No lace. The aroma of the beer was made up of sour cherries, white grapes, lemon, and a sweet, mellow funk. The flavor consisted of a crisp, acidic lemony bite, vinous white grapes, mild brett, and a dry sourness. The mouthfeel was crisp and refreshing and extremely drinkable. A nicely complex drink with a well-crafted blend of sour and fruitiness.

Cloudy golden straw pour. Big sour nose slight hay and light fruity yeast. Flavorhasa weecherry tone mixedwith the heavy sweety tartness. Quite enjoyable though a bit on the sweet side.

There’s a slight haze to the golden body and the modest white head doesn’t hang around for long. The aroma has a juicy citric tartness along with a funky sourness and an underlying orchard fruitiness. They blend smoothly in the flavor, the sourness surging near the end. The finish is dry and tart. Tasty & refreshing & definitely in need of more drinking.

Light hazy blond coloured beer with very little carbonation and a small white head. Light soury fruity balanced nice aroma. Full palate. Finish is full, sour touches, fruity, very nice.
