COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This blonde and slight sour ale is the result of a research combining Brettanomyces Bruxellensis and Pediococus Cerivisae from Wyeast and some skills out of the Wild Woesten.
Special beer by Struise as a tribute to Lembeek brewers.

Pours golden with white head, aroma is horse blanket, cheese, tart apple, peach, and a touch of earth. Not crazy sour but mouth puckering still, and great balanced fruit, funk, and earth.

Poured a medium golden orange with virtually no head. Nose was acrid with lemon zest and lacto. Taste was hot with acidity, fruity, sour at times, but mostly just a weird flavor that I didnt care for too much.

Bottle pours gold-amber with a white head. Aroma is full of lactic goodness showing juicy lemon, peach, granny smith, and brett(barnyard, light leather). Flavor shows the same. Overall body is light to moderate, crisp and dry. Just lovely.

Bottle at Delirium in Brussels. Auburn pour with a small, bubbly head. Aroma holds lots of Brett and other funk, along with doughy yeast, apricot, and some touches of berry- not too abrasive, lovely nose. Flavor is phenomenal-- barnyard, hay, tart sugar, peach, unripe melon, Granny smith apple, and a beautiful lingering earthiness. Palate is crisp and perfectly effervescent. So glad I found this- my girlfriend liked it too, and the label is great as well.

5th March 2010. Pre ZBF. Hazy gold beer. Light dry palate. Sour lemony tones but not overdone. Always a struggle with sour beers but found this one quite drinkable.

UPDATED: JUL 19, 2010 Pours out cloudy yellow-gold. Small head that holds ok. Sour-sweet, more sour smell. A bit fruity, citrus. Very sour taste for me... Not my thing at all. We both (me and a friend shared a pretty expensive bottle at a bar) really are disappointed. First not good beer I’ve tasted from DSB. Well, not good, at least for my taste, I don’t like sour beers, and this beer is sourness all the way, not even tryed to moderate it, it seems... We tasted about half of the bottle, and give the rest away to some other beerlovers at the bar... Some kind of waste of money for us, but the other people seemed to love it. First beer of DSB I can’t give 50%. But I’m sure other people will enjoy this beer, if you like sourness.

Bottle. Not sure where I got this - maybe from HogTownHarry? - or exactly how long I’ve had it. Nice golden colour with a slight haze and a good sized white head. Aroma has a nice mellow funkiness with notes of brett, lemon juice and sour apple, but along with some slightly sweet fruit notes as well. Flavour - oh yeah, that’s a the stuff! - lemon juice, band-aid, sour apple peel, brett, under-ripe apricot, horse blanket... so complex, but also so quenching and refreshing. Lovely!

Bottle thanks to Boutip, Merci Phil. Pours a light straw yellow, with just a thin white head. Aroma is mainly fruity at first, green apples and berries. As the beer warms and unfolds there are more classic funk aromas of old hay and horse. I get a few oaken notes as well, a bit of vanilla but very subtle. Taste is surprisingly soft and sweet upfront but quickly turns to a more acidic, grapefruit-like flavor. Lots of tart-bitter citrus flavors and a certain bitter leafiness too. Palate is slightly more carbonated than the average sour, but it becomes flat pretty quickly. Not quite as dry in the finish as most sours either, incredibly drinkable and quenching.
