Review from notes. Golden body, slightly hazy, with a small collar. Aromas of funk, Belgian yeast, lemon, citrus. Green apple skins and funk in the flavor, finishing with a mild acetic kick. Nice funkiness / earthiness. Gueuze characteristics. Quite tasty.

Bottle at home on several occasions - one particular batch was part of the SC² club. Pours light yellow with a decent head. Nice citrus aromas, a bit buttery, some floral notes as well as funky fruit notes. Medium body, well balanced between slight sourness, sweetness and dry finish.

Struise’s tribute to the lambic culture, fermented with Brettanomyces bruxellensis and Pediococcus cerevisae, two of the most essential microbes ’used’ in lambic. A blonde, hazy beer with instable, loose head and an aroma which indeed strongly reminds of lambic, lemon, vinegar, soft bready malts, estery fruitiness; taste is somewhere in between a top-fermented blond Belgian and an authentic lambic or geuze, with funkiness, tartness and complexity, but also spicy and soft malty flavours, with a long and complex finish with drying sourishness. Very interesting and very thirst-quenching, great sour beer, but not quite an actual lambic.

7 year old bottle. Maltier nose than the bourbon barrel version. Mustier nose, sour but pure and quite beautiful. Deep fruit and so so fresh and delicate after all this time.

Many thanks to Adam for sharing this nice treat! Golden yellow pour, mild white head with minimal lacing around the glass. Aroma, mild tartness. lemon, yeasty and a bit of funk. Taste, a bit of everything, slight sour but not enough the scrap the palate clean, mild funk, a bit of sweetness, finishes semi dry, very nice beer!

Bottle cellared since March ’09 - Pours clear amber with a thin foamy ring of white head. Nose is vinegar and lemon, a little basement must, and a hint of stone fruit. It’s tart. Taste is...whoa...pretty tart. Lots of lemony vinegar tartness, citrus peel, and some milky sourness through the middle. Finishes with SweetTarts, sour pear, and an odd grainy sourness. Medium-bodied and slick, with carbonation that bites a bit. A weird beer, but a fun one to open after nearly 5 years.

Bottled. Pours hazy golden with a small off-white head. Aroma of wheat, yest, barnyard and sour citrus fruit. Sour flavor that ends up tart. Medium bodied, oily text. and flat to soft carb. A very good sour indeed.

Bottle with a HUGE thanks to bu11zeye ! Pours a hazy yellow golden color with a finger of fizzy white foam. The nose is pure deliciousness, lots of lemony citrus, apricot and wet barrel notes mingle with some barnyard funk. The palate is where it really opens up its complexity with tons of stonefruit, nectarine, unripe peach, lemon zest, a health dose of acidity and a bit of barn funk to round out the fruit. The mouthfeel is full yet juicy with a balanced level of carbonation that tingles into a tart dry finish ! Damn this was TASTY !
