Smells and tastes significantly like some sort of stale caramel candy. A little weird at first, but it grew on me a lot. Dense and sweet! Hints of raisins and rum and dates. Alcohol was noticeable at first, but not later. Could be called "Great Divide Yeti Imperial Porter." Def. a sipper! Although I found the beer enjoyable, it is a very rich and unique flavor--so rich that towards the end of the beer, I found myself having to choke it down.

Aug 12, 2008 Sweet and light chocolate aroma. Very dark amber color with a small brown head. Sweet and kinda milky strong malts in the beginning and fading in the finish.

May 27, 2008 Bottle at Kobehavnske Oldage, May 2006 as Brok Porter. Not many Polish Baltic porters still in production so it was good to get the opportunity to try this one (which was supposed to be under threat but still appears to be knocking around). Deep brown with a modest tan head. The aroma majors on rich caramel with some wine-;like touches. Some roast malt and sweet chocolate in the flavour along with plenty more caramel. Big mouthfeel with alcohol in evidence, but not too sweet. Interesting and enjoyable.

Apr 23, 2008 Pours dark brown with a lasting light brown head. Complex aroma of salty hoisin sauce, chocolate, raisin, caramel, and molasses. Flavor is strong malty molasses and chocolate. Hoisin sauce is coming through as well. Full body with high carbonation. Malty dry finish. A fairly big on character beer. This bottle may have been a bit skunky, but this is certainly nothing to turn your nose up at. Thanks jjpm74.

Mar 16, 2008 Bottle. Shared by larsga, thx! A dark brown beer with a reddish hue and a rather small tan head. Roasted, sweetish nose with coffee. Lovely, roasted, coffee flavor with some alcohol. Full-bodied. Well hidden alcohol. A truly lovely Baltic-style porter. (080216)
