2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Cask conditioned handpump Victoria Northampton ( every one’s a daze pop in). A copper coloured beer with an off-white ring of bubbles for a head. An ordinary dull mid range beer with mostly malty characteristics. Some fruit in the mouth. Drinkable bit lacking.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
BCA (from Bitter Virtue, BB Jan 07). Some zesty hops but excessively yeasty and overcarbonated. Not undrinkable. I’m giving this the benefit of the doubt as its a little past the best before but judging by Stumpys other bottled efforts probably wasnt much different then.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Slightly hazy, golden colour. Modest aromatic hop nose. Clean, tangy hop flavours on the palate but a bit soft and not that crisp. A perfectly reasonable beer, but fails to excite. Cask (gravity dispense), St Albans Beer Festival.
