Bottle.Dark with a small head. Slightly sweet with a full body.Creamy texture with some bitterness. You know you are drinking it-it has a special presence.

Cask (gravity dispense), Reading Beer Festival, April 2006. Deep red-brown colour. Caramel malt aroma. Juicy, plummy fruit on the palate. Quite smooth mouthfeel with some warming alcohol. Easy-going for a beer of this strength - maybe a little too easygoing.

ruby brown, malt little sweetness in aroma, hoppy fruity with a nice malt balance. Strength didnt show through at all. but 7.2% is a bit high for this style.

Gravity cask @ Reading Beer Festival 2006. Pleasant malt aromas. Sweet but fairly drinkable with just hints at its strength.

Cask gravity at Reading BF 06. Malty beer with herby hop, bit of toffee/rubber. Dry malt. Bit too syrupy. I had no idea that it was this strong.
