3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
From 1,0l PET bottle, BBD: 25.02.2014. Appearance: Pours nice clear amber-orange liquid with NO head! (I suppose should be some bad bottle) Aroma: Malt, caramel, sweet/ fruit, light orange somewhere behind. Aroma is not very intense. Taste: Medium sweet, medium bitter. Palate: medium body, thin texture, soft carbonation (thinking it should be connected with the missing head), bitter finish. Overall: Nice drinkable amber lager, no head and rather soft carbonation deceived me, but I believe it was only a bad poured bottle, so It did not affected my rating even though I expected more from this lager.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
0.1l plastic bottles from trade with Misow. Thanks man! This big bottle brings back some good and some bad memories from my youth. It looks quit nice in the glass with a big frothy off-white head and a light blurry kinda orange amber looking body that’s filled with lots of floaters and small sediments in the glass. The nose is light caramel and almost a little ripe fruity. Behind the sweetness there is a soft sourness lurking. Hope it’s still OK this. Hints of metal and malts. Not bad at all. In the taste I’m quickly calmed and can safely report that it’s quite alright despite my suspicions. It has a average light oily mouthfeel and it’s just above average on the carbonation level. Soft watery caramel in the taste. It’s a bit pilsner-ish in that near metallic way. Not overwhelming or to memorable but it’s a good thirst quencher - and there is lots of beer to quench that nasty thirst. Ends with traces of some berries and a soft round pilsner bitterness. Thanks for the bottle Mikal, I’ll be sipping on this all night! 02.10.2013

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Flaška(zase darek z Prešpurku, děkují!): Deep golden, hazy, quite stable off-white creamy head, traces of noble hops in the sweet-bitter caramelly-bisquity nose; solid bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied; lingering bitter-sweet finish, hops and bisquits detectable. Pěkné slovenské pivo…

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tasting at Hostinec Richtar Jakub. Clear orange to amber colour. Aroma a bit mild, malty, honey. Taste is mostly hoppy, grassy bitterness - a bit sharp/rough. Finish is medium duration, hoppy bitter. The sharp earthy/grassy bitterness does not work well with the overall character of this beer in my opinion.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 20/20
Bottle direct from the brewery in Stupava, just NW of Bratislava , fine amber colour, slightly hazy, long lasting head. Delicious malty taste. A bitter and hoppy finish, Stands out from the crowd. I think the ’leziak’ and ’Jantar’ are actually the same beer. But since this is a bit distinct from the usual Czech-Slovak pilsner, Jantar (amber) is the brand name.

Tapped. Dominant malty aroma, fine amber color, nice hazy and most of all very very long lasting head. Delicious malty taste. A bitter and hoppy finish, not so significant but satisfying. Overall refreshing and tasty.
