Based on the fact that this is a low priced and low malt beer, itís not that bad at all. Normally, I havenít got the time of day for ílow maltí beers but this one isnít too bad if you want to save a little money. As for those who say it tastes of cardboard etc., I totally disagree although Iíve never eaten cardboard and Iím sure they havenít either. Not the choice I would make when holding a party but fine when youíre alone or with a couple of pals who couldnít care less. I am an Englishman living in Japan and this beer is brewed in and imported from South Korea. I donít know how many countries they export to but try it if you can find it.

Can (bought in Tokyo, sampled in Osaka)
Clear golden color, good white head. Rice grainy aroma.Light-bodied. Rice malty, sweetish finish. Somewhat clean mouthfeel. Clean bulk lager and certainly better than 50 % off version.

Crisp golden coloured body with a soapy white head. Aroma of lemons, light malt, metal and very little else. Light-bodied; Rice flavour at first with some mild malt and a hint of lemons coupled with some light sweetness. Aftertaste shows a subdued malt character, some light sweetness and a hint of rice - not much going on, but pleasantly enough - no bitterness at all. I sampled this 50 cL can purchased at Circle K in Narita, Japan on 20-June-2014 for •98 sampled a few minutes later in my hotel room in Narita.

88 yen can from Circle K, I just wanted to tick off another Japanese brewery but for that price figured Iíd knock off both their beers. It pours a clear gold which is fine but the the head was incredibly fizzy-like soda, almost soapy. Not terribly appeatizing in terms of looks. The aroma straight from the fridge is average to below average for a macro: malts, sweetness, actually it has a bready soda-ish quality to it. The body is very light & incredibly fizzy. The taste is sweet fizzy water, with a sharp but weak bitterness in the finish. Surprisingly the 50% diet one was better, this is the closest Iíve seen to a beer literally being fizzy yellow water. Iíd say it is tasteless but no it has flavor just sugary, cardboard, corn syrup, bitter. Imagine drinking an alcoholic tonic water... pretty gross. Too carbonated.

Can. This is a Circle K Sunkus private brand contract brewed by Jinro Japan. Brewed in Korea. Typical foul chemical spirits aroma, rotten eggs, wet cardboard. Clear straw, little head, heavy carbonation. Initial is pineapple rind; mid is rough, rude, and harsh sweetness, along with a big carb attack; final is nondescript with some continuing carb burn. Thin body. Iíd drink it if I were dying of thirst, I suppose.
