0.8 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
88 yen can from Circle K, I just wanted to tick off another Japanese brewery but for that price figured I’d knock off both their beers. It pours a clear gold which is fine but the the head was incredibly fizzy-like soda, almost soapy. Not terribly appeatizing in terms of looks. The aroma straight from the fridge is average to below average for a macro: malts, sweetness, actually it has a bready soda-ish quality to it. The body is very light & incredibly fizzy. The taste is sweet fizzy water, with a sharp but weak bitterness in the finish. Surprisingly the 50% diet one was better, this is the closest I’ve seen to a beer literally being fizzy yellow water. I’d say it is tasteless but no it has flavor just sugary, cardboard, corn syrup, bitter. Imagine drinking an alcoholic tonic water... pretty gross. Too carbonated.

Can. This is a Circle K Sunkus private brand contract brewed by Jinro Japan. Brewed in Korea. Typical foul chemical spirits aroma, rotten eggs, wet cardboard. Clear straw, little head, heavy carbonation. Initial is pineapple rind; mid is rough, rude, and harsh sweetness, along with a big carb attack; final is nondescript with some continuing carb burn. Thin body. I’d drink it if I were dying of thirst, I suppose.
