COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brown ales are of the English mild family. Characterized by a dark color, sweet body and lightly hopped. The color comes from the use of roasted and caramel malts from the English milds, but still not up the gravities of the pales. Hopped with Tettnang in the boil and Kent Goldings in the finish, expect some fruitiness with a mild hop bitterness.

On tap at the brewpub in Fruita Colorado. A very nice ale. Color is dark brown tastes is very smooth and finishes well.

Appearance: Clear dark brown with a small tan head and good lacing. Aroma and taste of toasted malts, chocolate, nutty and grainy. A nice mellow drinking beer.

Tap - Brewery - Brown in color, clear with a thin head. Nice nut like aroma with the malt. Roasty flavors with nut like flavors. Nice balance and good drinking brew. Some toffee and light chocolate flavors linger. The brew finishes quite dry.

on tap 7/21/10. looks like watered down coffee... orange tinted dark brown with an off whte head. it smells a lot like coffee too... along with toasted nuts, a little roast, florals and caramel. it tastes the same only floral hops linger with woody coffee in the aftertaste. crisp, dry and a little ashy. very easy drinking. 6/4/6/4/14/3.4

On tap at the brewpub in Wyoming. Pours a dark brown color with a small tan head. Very cloudy. The aroma was light toasted and nutty notes. The flavor was similar; a smooth and easygoing nutty and toasted malt, some light hops in the finish. Very nice for the style, which I always enjoy. Another good beer from this brewer.
