Inspired by the iconic Cascade hop and named for the rugged mountain range that stretches from British Columbia to Northern California. This beer was carefully dry-hopped with the finest Cascade hops from Yakima Valley, creating a citrusy, piney & refreshing West Coast taste. Elevate your lager experience. Note: First batch at 5.4%.

Bomber from Hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. This is clear honey gold with a big off white head that finally fell. Cool lacing. A pleasant Cascade hop aroma. Big fruit. The flavor is exactly that, too, and I do like Cascade hops. Classic and just good. Citrus and tropical. Midglass it seems like the flavor is going to be spicy but then they become cinnamon, and then it becomes caramel malts. A cool effect. A little of all of that remains. The hops here are just perfect. The beer allows them to do what they do best but does not ask too much. This is just a delightful beer. I like everything about it.

Shared with Strykzone on Facebook Chat. Pours a translucent orange-copper color with a monster sized off-white head that has great retention and really attractive lacing. The nose is citrus and pine. Medium plus body and a very smooth mouth feel. Flavor runs to grapefruit, pine, peaches or maybe apricot. on tasty caramel malts. Long any dry finish made up of bitter citrus. This a remarkably well balanced and delightful beer and could make me abandon IPAs for IPL.

clear amber color; citrusy hop aroma; nice, citrusy hop flavor on a light, crisp malt base; lacking the fruitiness of an ale; a good beer

Bottle from Safeway in Redwood City, CA. Pours a golden orange. Aroma is apricots, citrus, some sweet malts. Taste is a great balance of dry hops and sweet malts. My first IPL. A very good start.

Pine tree aroma, clear medium yellow/amber body with a white head. Delicious bitingly dry pine bitterness with a little grapefruit and pith. This is followed by a very sturdy caramel and light butterscotch sweetness that does a great balancing act. The 50 IBUs seems low for this, but it may be the lighter body of the lager that lets the bitterness shine through. This is probably the best IPL I’ve had. Sudwerk makes great German style beers, so this is quite a departure and they nailed it.

LOVE the name. Got a kinda sorta fresh bottle a little ways back. Tastes more like a pale ale than an IPL or strong pils, but it does have a hint of the pils malt taste. OK overall, nothing special, nothing to avoid. Medium sweet and bitter with light biscuit.

650ml bottle from bev4less. Pours a translucent copper color with a monster off-white head that has great retention and ample sticky lacing. The arom ais a bit understated with caramel, sweet grains and indistinct citrus. The taste features a big hoppy blast that is pleasantly bitter. Flavors present in the taste are grapefruit, pine, melons, apricots, light caramel and peanut butter. The palate is light but effective and the carbonation is lively. Finishes long and dry. Overall: Loved it--perhaps my favorite IPL to date.
